Yes, it’s a busy time of year. But don’t put tons of pressure on yourself to study hours and hours every day. Just setting aside 15 minutes for a few questions is reasonable and very productive!

@@SetteleTutoring I'm not super happy with my performance to be honest. The reading part was oddly easy for me for both modules but I struggled on the second math module, which is very weird because I am so much stronger in math than in reading. I know I got the hard module for both of them, but there was a ton of time pressure for the math portion while I didn't really feel that for the English, which is usually my weak point.

Yes, the SAT is definitely a rite of passage. Don’t feel like you need to be practicing at all hours. That will definitely hurt your mental health. If you take the test again, just 15 minutes a day is all it takes to see steady progress.

Studying vocab is a good thing to do the day before the test. It’s relatively easy on the brain, and sometimes just seeing a word once is enough to get a feel for it. It’s okay if a few hard words force you to take some guesses. Just focus on everything else. setteletutoring.com/vocab

I procrastinated because I was nervous for the SAT, and now I have to take it tomorrow with basically no prep. I am in precalculus and in a few high level english classes, but i still have not prepared myself. Next time, I am going to set a time for two days of the week at which I will study for 1-2 hour each. Thank you for your video

Yes, that sounds like a great plan. Make sure you are learning the SAT-specific strategies. Advanced math classes in school help, but you need to use non-traditional methods too.

I started studying November 26th-ish 2023 and have been slaving away at these god awful questions for a year! I have SAT Burnout and I haven't even taken my first official exam yet. Tomorrow is my first and last chance. Hoping for a 1500+... I keep getting high 1400's tho! I caught Settele's channel a couple weeks ago, and his ideas have helped me gain at least 30-50 more points.

Yeah, that’s a tough schedule. That’s why I tell US students not to take the May and June SATs while they’re taking APs at the same time. But that means you’re already in “study mode”, so you’ll be locked in. Good luck!

Yes, that’s a lot to have on your plate. Best of luck! If you take it again, my recommendation is setting aside 15 minutes a day for a few practice problems and maybe a half hour to hour once a week for a longer lesson. That might make it more manageable!

there is no Real solutions

Yes. There are no imaginary numbers on the SAT, so we can say that x-intercepts and solutions are usually the same thing. The only exception is when they are asking for the solutions of a system that includes a parabola. That really means we want the intersection points for the two equations, so Desmos is usually the right move.

That’s a very good score if you can get it. Just remember that it’s okay to sacrifice a few hard questions for the sake of preventing careless mistakes and traps on the easier ones. You can still get about 3 wrong per subject and get a 750.
