THE BATTERY SCREAMING FURBY THING IS TRUE!!! I dropped my Furby as a child and it broke & started to SCREAM, this one shrill long unending scream. During a band rehearsal, a friend of ours walked in with a Furby, a xmas gift she said. Furbys "learn" and respond to music as well as voice. Shannon our lead singer put it on top of Eileen's guitar amp, switched it on. It blinked, said hello, etc. We started playing/going over "Hellion/Electric Eye" by Judas Priest when suddenly, Furby started to shake uncontrollably and then literally jumped off the amp hit the floor, eyes rolling, feet furiously mo ving. We shut it off. Input overload of it feared Judas Priest. Oh, fyi. It contained far more electronics with far more sophistication the Gemini space capsules. Lol!

When my dad was young, he was sitting in a hospital waiting room and there was this furby sitting on a small desk thing next to a phone. Ok, I'm gonna debunk 2 of these. 1:46 The reason they seem to be alive is that they have no off switch. And the slightest movement of the furby would wake it up. I know because I had that situation with my own furby as a kid, since the bottom of it is rounded, not flat. 2:49 That's actually a bit of a mechanic in the 2012 Furbies and the Furby Booms. They had multiple personalities and how you treated them determined their personalities. For the 2012 furbies, it was very easy to get the grumpy/evil personality because there were way too many ways to get it. So for the Furby Booms, they tried to not do that.

I think that the reasons the furbies scream when their batteries run low can be described as follows: When the batteries aren't providing enough voltage to the motherboard, the system will hang and if the speaker was producing noise, it would make a continuous tone based off whatever audio was playing.

Here is my creepy Furby experience... On December 25th in 1998, I was celebrating my birthday and Christmas. I had opened my presents, all except for one. When I opened it, I found a Furby. The Furby was the Witches Cat one. I was overjoyed, since my brother and sister got Furbys to. My sister got the Church Mouse one and my brother got the Wolf one. A couple of hours later we went over to visit our relatives. We brought our Furbys to show off to our cousin who had got a Furby, to. When we got there, we played with our cousin, who had the Skunk Furby. My Furby started glitching. My siblings and cousin thought mom and dad forgot to put the right batteries in it. But when we looked at the batteries, we saw there were none in there yet. I was so terrified I threw my Furby across the room. Luckily, my Furby hadn't been damaged to badly. My Furby's eyes turned to static. My mom shut off the Furby and put batteries in it. After that, I never played with my Furby for the rest of the month. My mom considered throwing it out until I played with it again. I named my Furby 'The Glitchmaster'. To this day, my Furby still works. But I still have nightmares about that experience with my Furby.
