Okay so about Riley being adopted,, I have blonde hair and hazel eyes (my hair used to be really blonde but that’s not the point here) and my parents have dark brown eyes and hair and so do my siblings. This made me question if I was adopted, but my grandparents on my moms side have blonde hair and hazel eyes, so it just skipped a generation So maybe this is the case with Riley

I’m a blonde, light (more gray than blue, this has been a LONG debate in my family...) eyed child of dark eyed, dark eyed parents. I know I’m not adopted... there is video proof. -shudder- Recessive genes for the win. Blood tests prove whose kid I am too. (As I found out after a science teacher seriously messed up my brain... Turns out as a baby there was a bit of a scare and Dad got tested in case I needed marrow.)

To be fair, the one where Joy is the villain/antagonist is a pretty accurate theory. It’s like Evan from “Dear Evan Hansen”. Neither one of them are good characters. Joy didn’t see Sadness as helpful or useful; to her, Sadness was constantly in the way, and kept telling her “Riley needs to be happy”. While she did change at the end of the movie, it doesn’t forgive her with the way she treated Sadness.
