This might seem overly cautious but *it can save lives.* It is not all about protecting against getting kidnapped or whatever. When I was growing up in Maryland, there was a road called Dead Man’s Road. It was very near our home. There were many fatal accidents at a certain curve of Bonifant Road. It was always at the same part of the road. Every time there was a car crash, someone died there.

It always amuses me when people say, "someone died here, avoid this area at all cost." The majority of places people go has had someone die in the area. Two people die every second somewhere in the world. Chances are someone kicked the bucket in the same area you are standing in now.

Here’s one from my country that isn’t very well-known. A mother and daughter were on a road trip, driving on a highway, when they reached 26 miles, they had an accident and their car skidded off a cliff. They survived, and when they called for help, a group of men arrived. But then the men just robbed and murdered them. They killed the daughter first, and then the mother. Over time, more and more cars had accidents when they reached that mile post 26. Cars would nearly skid off the road, suddenly break down, vehicles would collide, etc. There were times when it resulted in actual deaths. Leading ppl to believe that the ghost of the mother and daughter haunt that area. A movie was made on it, called ‘Mile post 26’.

My favorite MTV era was the 90s. Beavis and Butthead, Howard Stern...ah the memories. Especially since my family upgraded the cable from every TV playing the same channel to the way it is now. The best part about it was that my older brother had figured out how to get MTV w/out paying for it and he let me, a 9 year old kid, watch it with him. I soon became the most popular kid in school b/c I watched the shows that had parental blocks on them. 😎

I had a hitchhiker ghost story: There was a little girl on the side of the road. I roll down my window and ask “Where are you’re parents? Do you need me to take you home?” The girl says yes and gets in the back seat. She tells me the destination. When I was there she was gone and when I knocked on the door and an elderly man answered. I said “I saw your daughter on the side of the road and needed a ride. And now, She’s gone. By any chance had she ran into the house?” The elderly man put on a very mad expression and slammed the door shut. It turns out that day was SUPPOSED to be the girls birthday but she died in an accident 30 years ago (about 33 now)

I live near Haynesville Maine. I have gone camping in those woods many times. Especially as a young child! Heck I still do to this day! I've always enjoyed it even with all the scary stories that I have heard. I believe my uncle told me that he picked up the Haynesville woman once but she disappeared a few minutes after they took off driving. Not sure If he was telling the truth but it's still scary.

I live about 20 mins from ghost road, in 2012 I was with some friends sitting in a car at the side of the road with all the lights off waiting for something spooky to happen, we were just talking when all of a sudden we heard the gravel crunching like somebody was driving really fast past the car, this road is pitch black at night so we wouldn't be able to see if someone did, well just after we heard it my friend turned the headlights on and there was nothing there, infront of or behind us. It was really weird and we got out of there quick lol

theres a road just outside of my hometown, locals call it death lane. If you drive down it at night you see headlights coming down the road that just dissapear, they dont turn (because there arent any turns) or stop or anything, just poof, gone.

Speaking of stretches of road that have mysterious goings on, my father was a volunteer fire fighter in NJ. This one stretch of highway in Deptford, route 55, called Dead Man's Straight, has many accidents... fatal accidents.. ironic thing was, there were multiple scenes my father reported to, where the driver was DECAPITATED.. my father was traumatized after the first one.. sadly, it was just the first of many.
