Gonna def agree with Anime Otaku on this one. Ugh... He means that he'd rather be depressed than fall for one of Satan's tricks after signing a deal with him and get tricked into something ridiculous as a side effect of one of the twisted ways he tricks people. Like if he says I don't want to be depressed anymore, he can make him maniacally happy to the point of being the Joker from Batman, or take away the depression and just make him extremely anxious instead. Stuff like that. From what I've see/heard (Seen in Movies or Read in Literature, Heard as in word of mouth from stories being told, I never met the Devil and would like it to stay that way forever) about making a deal/pact with Satan it never works out good for you, esp when your own Soul is on the line for eternity pretty much.
