I always find it interesting how some people don't know about the ship that was taken down by a hurricane on Lake Superior. The boat was known as the Edmund Fitzgerald and there is a song on how it went down. I went to Lake Superior once a long while back and I just found it so surreal.

Ive known about the Mighty Fitz for years and im not even from the Great Lakes region. Im from the southern US. I know of it thanks to my mother's ex husband who was from Michigan and the story of the Fitzgerald is widely known all over that region of the US and Canada. Of all the ship wrecks, the wreck of the Fitz terrifies me the most. Something about it scares me worse than the Titanic and the Titanic scares me.

What about the Saburo Santos? It is a ship that went down in obidos in the Amazon river. The thing that is so creepy was that there were few survivors. They were right in front of the dock too. The catfish in the area that grew fat on fish and animal remains killed some of the people who survived the initial sinking. Even worst is the bodies were dismembered. Most of the bodies were just put into mass graves because all of the scavengers ate the bodies in the morning. Watch Amazon river Apocalypse river monsters for more.
