Judy Garland working 16 hour days makes me think of Abbott and Costello: "I'm a union man, and I work only 16 hours day." 'A union man only works 8 hours a day!' "I belong to 2 unions." .......
@overworkedcna4125 жыл бұрын
Kenneth Conklin Upvote for the classic comedy appreciation. I’d rather take their 16 hours than mine! Now granted, it’s common knowledge that stars like Garland and Mickey Rooney were routinely given “uppers” and “downers,” and that’s fucked up. But nowadays, whenever I hear people say things like, “Being a star isn’t glamorous because we have to put in 16-hr days on set,” I just roll my eyes and say, “Hey - I’ll trade YOUR 16-hr shifts for MY 16-hr shifts.” Let’s see who’s complaining at the end of the week!

Actually with number 3 Ray Bolger was originally cast as the tin man and Buddy Ebson was cast as the scarecrow but Ray Bolger got mgm to switch their roles and then Buddy Ebson had an allergic reaction to the aluminum dust they used and couldn’t do the movie so Jack Haley took over as the tin man and then he had an allergic reaction to the aluminum paste they switched to but he was able to do the show
@MaskedMan665 жыл бұрын
Ebsen did not have an allergic reaction. He had a pre-existing bronchial disorder which was aggravated by the powder. Haley also didn't have an allergic reaction; some of the make-up got into his eye, resulting in an infection that required him to stay home for a few days.

there was not a munchkin suicide. it was just a bunch of emus that wandered in from another movie set. 2 movies that would make a great urban legend list are beetlejuice and a nightmare before xmas. if you want to go with my absolute favorite movie it would be the libertine. anything with johnny depp or tim burton, since they are both gods. just not pirates of the caribbean. there are too damn many lists about that series. go for some of their more obscure movies. a good slasher flick urban legend list would be see no evil. its not the best slasher flick, but its still mildly entertaining. but it does give a whole new take on the deranged serial killer genre at least.

I remember this movie from when I was young, and during the Christmas holidays in 2018, I went to go see the play as the Panto which was fun, I talked to Mckenzie Ziegler's mom, and she told me that her daughter played Dorothy in the panto, her mom was very nice.
