Percy literally falling out of the tunnel from The Hog’s Head, finding himself in a room with the majority of his family and Remus’ wildly desperate attempts to defuse the tension by waving a picture of Teddy under everybody’s noses. Grawp straight up throwing Hagrid and Fang trough a window because he was told to “drop them somewhere near the castle” Sir Cagodan charging through the portraits after Harry, shouting encouragement. Neville’s grandmother being the last one to arrive for the fight. Harry actually witnessing Fred’s death. Peeves dropping Snargaluff pods on the Death Eater’s heads. Trelawney cracking Greyback over the head with a crystal ball. Grawp wrestling with another giant on the lawns in front of the castle. Luna, Ernie and Seamus using the Patronses that Harry taught them to produce to save him from Dementors. The centaurs being shamed into action by Hagrid. Kreacher leading the House-elves into battle.

Every time I see that scene I’m like “it reads ‘calmly’ - not shouts angrily!” Lol
@bobdole49163 жыл бұрын
@@emilieshomegarden3677 I've seen that actor in other stuff, and it's pretty obvious he's a dang good actor, but every element of how he went about performing the role of Dumbledore just didn't work. When Richard Harris died, and Michael Gambon got the role, he made a deliberate choice to not perform the role the same way Richard Harris did - so right off the bat we've got a completely different Dumbledore who is so different it knocks you out of the film a bit. And the other major thing he did was refusing to read the books. So, you've got an actor hired to perform a role who refuses to use the performance of the previous actor as inspiration, and refuses to read the source material for inspiration. Is it any wonder that he feels nothing like Dumbledore?

No, its almost 9... and more than 7... if you can guess that numbr. That was one of the most disappointing things about the movies to me, The Marauders. That's what made me less interested in the movies afterwards, and the next one (GoF) was the last I saw in a theater as it was even more disappointing. I have seen the other movies but can't remember them since I was so disinterested. The Marauders' backstory was my favorite part of the third book, and I wish they didn't leave it in the sidelines. Anyways, I probably will rewatch the movies with a better mindset and judge them from what they are and not what I wanted them to be in the past. Cheers from France! 🍻

This. This is the cut that makes me the most upset out of all 8 movies. It’s such a powerful scene in the books, as Harry is finally able to let all of his emotions out, and get the answers he was desiring for a year, and the movie… just has a 2 or so minute long scene where Dumbledore kinda-sorta explains a few things. Such a disappointing loss.

The number one reason why OoTP is the best book is Harry's emotions. I read this book as a teenager around his age, and couldn't believe how expertly Rowling injected 15 year old boy emotions into her writing. I felt that book on a deeper level. To add the to the GoF mess: How amazingly kind Cedric actually was 😭😭 He was a typical jock for the most part in the movies who only was nice to Harry to return the favor. In reality, his kindness only rivaled Luna's and Lupin's in the books. Like how he caught the snitch in his match against Harry in PoA because Harry fell 50 ft because of the dementors, and how he immediately started calling for his own catch to be unfair because of what happened to Harry. Or when he was the one of only kind ones to Harry after his name got drawn too (which would obviously took away some of his own glory since he wasn't the only Hogwarts champion). Or when Harry basically pleaded with Cedric to take the Cup, but realized the only way he could convince Cedric to take it was to share the glory (because Cedric had endless excuses why Harry deserved it more, even though he was actually about to be first).

My favorite scene left out was when Umbridge had then just read in class and Hermione one ups her by having read it all and knowing it well enough to asnwer all her questions. That moment of hard work and wit defeating autority was amazing!

The BIG one I want is Harry's explosion of grief and rage at the end of Order of the Phoenix.
@imqqmi4 жыл бұрын
The scene of Harry having to catch the garden gnomes at the Weaslys as main family event. Just a bit of 'normal' wizarding everyday life would've been great. The letter from Lily and James to Sirius Black, seeing baby Potter on a small broom zooming around the livingroom. Confrontation of Harry with Remus Lupin about getting together with Tonks, being guardian to the unborn child etc. Very telling of the kind of character Harry had and what relationships he had.

i wouldve loved a novel about simply living at hogwarts, the conversations over breakfast and frustration over magic and homework, though if there wasnt a conflict it would be bland. little moments of everyday hogwarts and wizarding life is my favorite thing

A scene that I really loved was the scene in The Goblet of Fire where Harry got trapped on the stairs under the invisibility cloak and Peeves is yelling with Moody (Crouch Jr.) and Snape talking, Moody(Crouch Jr.) helps cover up that Harry was out at night. Good scene! Also, Anything with Charlie Weesley and Dragons will be very much missed!

I would have loved to see them fight before an audience, but I think conversing about the Elder Wand would have killed the pacing of the scene. Better to have Harry summarise to Ron and Hermione afterwards.
