I work at the Costco bakery in Delaware. We do have sheet cakes by order, we just got out tiramisu bar cakes back (they're mainly seasonal). And yes at Costco you can return anything, however in Delaware, the rules for alcohol are different, once alcohol is purchased, it can't be returned because the ATF rules. For instance in Delaware, beer, wine or any alcohol can only be purchased at a liquor store, in most states you can buy beer or wine in your grocery or convienent store, but in Delaware you can't, it wasn't till about 10 years ago that in Delaware no liquor stores were open on Sunday, so if you wanted to drink on that day, than you would have to drive to Maryland or the closest neighboring state

I don’t return food items at costco anymore because when I tried to return an unopened box of cookies, the customer service suggested me not to in the future because they discard all the returned food items even the unopened ones and never get placed back on the shelves. She literally said to me “these perfectly good food all go to waste.”

Depending on where you are, Costco sells their re-sellable, non-perishable returns to discount stores. Bakery cookies are likely thrown out because they're not sealed like boxed, branded cookies. But the fact that they don't put returned items back on the store shelf isn't a reason for you not return an item, and it's certainly poor customer service for an employee to tell you to not return items and thus not get your money refunded. (They definitely do put non-food items back on the store shelves. I nearly bought a package of printer ink until I noticed that someone had written their date of purchase in Sharpie on the back package, and that alerted me to the short expiry date compared with the other package that I was also buying.)

I do love their sheet cakes, and did use one for my last wedding. The only thing I hate is someone complained or some state gov't overreached and came down on them making them without the custard filling and it being lower weight. So you couldn't get them without the custard anymore....It's so much better without...If they return let us get them without the custard by signing a release!

Worker here. About 3 weeks into the sheet cake deletion, a member was upset to the point of tears, demanded a manager, then cussed the manager out for ‘ruining’ their daughter’s wedding. Evidently the Costco sheet cake meant more than the vows of the soon to be betrothed.

I make tiramisu in like 10 minutes lol... And then pop it in the fridge overnight and dust it with cocoa powder the next day... Ingredients aren't that expensive if you know where to look. I much rather prefer to make it myself because I know EXACTLY what went in there. The food companies are not regulated by anyone to put the EXACT ingredients on their labels... and I know that from someone that has their own stuff to sell and when they asked the labeling company to do their label for them, they were just asked: "So, what would you like to put on the label?" Like literally she could have told them a bunch of stuff to put on the label and then add other stuff that can be conveniently left out... And if she can do it... you get my point.

The take and bake french bread! I tested I toaster oven, sandwich size fits perfectly into my small toaster oven at 325 degrees for ten minutes. I sprayed it with olive oil top and bottom, perfect crust! The individual plastic packs was a great idea!!! This french cibbata style bread individually packaged in plastic is a winner! I stored it for 6 months, still tasted fresh from oven .

Great video, BabbleTop!!! I was just in Costco today to get a couple more of those pesto chicken sandwiches (Yum factor 10,000). The sauce seems like a pesto sauce heavily laden with Parmesan cheese. Whatever it is, it's good. Everything at the bakery is too much for my lonely self, and since I've moved my freezer is way too small to freeze anything except cycling beers through it to chill them. I once got the PET plastic box of croissants and they were really good. I think I made some tomato, salami, and cheese sandwiches with them. That Hungarian salami that they sell is FFFFFFFFFFVery good!!!!! The bagels are excellent, but you have to buy two 'sleeves' or 'stacks' at once and that's just way too much. The best thing about the bagels is that the holes aren't very big, so they're not as much of a mustard/horseradish drip hazard. Normally I never go as far to the south as the bakery section. I'll be there again tomorrow or Saturday and I'll scope everything out and post again if there's anything interesting to report. 11:05 I love the clip of Maurice Moss from The IT Crowd! That was the episode where they had that fire in their basement office for most of the time. They put an empty computer screen housing in front of it when the boss came downstairs. Boss said "wow that fire screensaver looks so real". The fire extinguisher didn't work and Moss looked at it and shook his head... "Made in Britain". In the clip, he's typing an email to the fire brigade to report the fire. He speaks what he's typing and after a while says "No, that's too formal." Then he settles on "Fire, exclamation mark; Fire, exclamation mark", etc. It was really funny! Moss is played by Richard Ayoade who is hilariously funny not only as a comedian, but in real life. He dominates game shows with funny and snide remarks. "What is your greatest regret?" Ayoade says "I think we're doing it now" (referring to being on the game show). (He's from London, but his dad is from Nigeria and his mom is from Norway or maybe Sweden. "Somewhere up there".) BabbleTop, man you guys always produce really fun and interesting videos, even if the subject doesn't particularly interest me (which happens every once in a while--no big deal). Keep up the great videos!!!

A lot of what is mentioned is location specific. My Costco for instance definitely has the sheet cakes or any kind of cake you would like. You can also order the day before no problem, though we would prefer 48 hours just in case we need to schedule more people. However, we do not offer unbake cookie dough or anything like that for delivery. We also do not sell frozen items for less money or give out cookies to children. Information like; we return anything or you can freeze the items is definitely across the board correct. What is true for one Costco may not ne true for the next.

Sheet cakes with a smaller one on top and a round one on top is a wedding or party cake kept plain except for the fresh flower tops on it for a Euro style event cake. It works and you can buy the flowers there too. Tell them you want what you order ahead in the freezer. That is how good bakeries do it.

Dont reinforce your child screaming and tantrum behaviors. Give them the cookie when they are calm and provide verbal praise for being calm. You can even plan ahead and tell them before “if you behave, then you get cookie”. As the parents you need to keep your promises and act quickly when good behavior is present, not wait till its too late.

Delivery in Canada is costly. All items are priced higher to make up for delivery costs. It’s not a flat delivery fee almost everything is priced higher. As well they won’t deliver some items. At one point they wouldn’t deliver protein shakes because of the weight, most sure it that has changed.

Freezing tip…. Freeze items single layer on a cookie sheet. Then place in freezer bags. This way they shouldn’t have ice build up when you thaw.

I was really pissed, when Costco discontinued the Black Forest Sheet cake. I took a strip off the store manager, in no uncertain terms, over that. I have 1 Costco within 5 minutes from me, 3 more within 20 minutes, and 4 additional within 45 minutes, the furthest one(Nisku, Alberta) being the largest Costco in Western Canada

I remember as a kid and teenager my mom would bring home the costco order form for cakes. They were totally customizable. My favorite was chocolate cake with mouse filling and white frosting. I think they had whipped and buttercream. So amazing!!

saw one of those places one time...but had no idea what it was....the place where it was is restaurants now...it closed and they tore it down......over time Ive sorta come to understand its about like sams club or something along those lines....but Ive never seen another one of those places in my life...I bet is been over 15 year since I saw the only one I ever saw
