China's PLZ series shows large and long-lasting vehicle movements right after the ammunition is fired. This is also true for Russia howitzer. Polish crab howitzer purchased a K-9 vehicle to solve this problem. The large movement of the vehicle immediately after launch means that the continuous shooting ability is low and the radius that the ammunition reaches is unpredictable. Actually, if you have this problem, it is not appropriate to use it as SPG. It is assumed that video producers do not have basic knowledge.

@@noirback6884 One of the "tricks" a single SPG/H can perform is the concept of Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI). It's basically fires off a series of rounds at various angles to achieve a near simultaneous impact. Modern SPG/H automates the calculation of the firing elevation and the loading of different propelling charges. This significantly reduces the ability of the enemy to find cover and reduces the effect of counter battery fire. Moreover modern doctrines suggest the SPG/H would start disengaging the moment the last round leaves the barrel. (Shoot and Scoot). The problem when each firing causes the entire platform rock and shake likes the Chinese PLZ, you have the wait for the entire platform to stabilize before the 2nd shell can go off. This will affect the number of rounds that can be fired per volley. Modern MRSI volleys achieves between 5-6 shells per gun. If you look closely at the Chinese PLZ, the entire platform actually moves back a little after each firing meaning that even after it has stabilized, it's in a slightly different position and the firing control computer cannot compensate for, making effective MRSI volleys pretty useless. One way of countering this is to deploy a whole platoon of the SPG/H and essentially relying on their first round accuracy.

As far as I know, it is the "Huta Stalowa Wola" a final producer of KRAB. Poles are using a South Korean developed and very good drive and chassis, They made a sweet deal with South Koreans for an effective technology transfer, short license production under Korean's supervising, and later on a full off-set. Polish producer is looking shortly for a full-scale production locally in Poland. Talking about the turret itself .... it is kinda heavily modified British model turret, but equipped fully with the Polish developed & made, advanced Fire Control System and advanced radio inter~communication equipment. Moreover, "Huta Stalowa Wola" also is producing now the cannon barrels for KRAB !!!! What is planned in the nearest future ..... a full production of KRAB is gonna be located in Poland and is going to be based on the parts made by Polish sub-manufacturers. KRAB is gonna be soon 100% "Polonaised" military product, which means the Poles are gonna be fully self-sufficient with massive KRAB production.

Max range 25 Km. It was also designed (secretly), to fire nuclear projectiles (gun barrel design)... So was there anything like it at 1960's or 1970's or 1980's ? If you don't consider the cost, then German is best but it's 3 times the cost of Korean K9. Can PzH 2000 deliver 3 times the firepower of K9? It's better to buy 3 K9 than one PzH 2000.

Wait doesn’t OBRUM develop and design Krab not BAE, BAE just supplies the turret. Correct me if I’m wrong
@dasboot59034 жыл бұрын
As far as I know," Huta Stalowa Wola" is a final producer of KRAB. Poles are using a South Korean developed and very good drive and chassis, They made a sweet deal with South Koreans for an effective technology transfer, license production under Korean's supervising, and later on a full off-set and making a full scale production locally in Poland. Talking about the turret itself it is kinda heavily modified British developed turret equipped fully with the Polish developed & made ...Fire System Control and advanced radio inter~communication system . Moreover, "Huta Stalowa Wola" is also producing now the cannon barrels for KRAB !!!! What is planned in the nearest future, a full production of KRAB is gonna be located in Poland and is gonna be based on Polish sub-manufacturers. KRAB is gonna be soon 100% "Polonaised", which means Pols are gonna be fully self-sufficient with massive KRAB production.

Why does BAE systems Excalibur precision guided munitions for the naval version reach between 70kms - 90kms and they're pushing for 120kms, it's a land version so should be up to the same standard by reaching the same distance by now

What is difference between, Self Propelled Gun, Self propelled Howitzer and Self propelled artillery?
@jianyang62814 жыл бұрын
all the same.
@Markus-zb5zd4 жыл бұрын
gun is a general term, so is artillery, howitzer is a very specific type of artillery gun e.g. the german MARS2 is a self propelled artillery, but as it's a rocket launcher it's no self propelled gun most main battle tanks are also self propelled guns, but usually not howitzers

@Franco Antonio Rizzuto thanks for that compliment ..but just to help you I actually participated in a war where we used similar weapons but better weapons than many of these and had this G5/6 howitzer as back up in a war and in the 80s. The rest of the world only dreamt of having it. And just help you, all the American made V shaped hull mine proof vehicles designs are from South African design and now built under license in many overseas companies. We did that in the 80s already and the rest of world only caught on after the second Iraq war. So this stupid kid knows 1st hand.
