Thanks for sharing. I used to grow up there. Mckiver lake is a fantastic spot and so is Elk Falls.

Bears 🐻 or cougars to worry about ? I’m from California. Great video ! 🌸 I’m looking forward to visiting Vancouver Island in October.

There are bears and cougars but we don’t often have run ins with them. If there’s anything you need to know about Vancouver Island I’m happy to help 😃

Is it expensive to live there? I grew up in Alberta where winter weather is the norm for like 9 months of the year 😆 plus no beach or anything plus no mountains where I live! I need to see what warmer winters are like(I know you get some snow but no -40 weather!)lol it’ll be next year summer or fall.

We definitely have milder winters than the rest of Canada.

This is poor advertising as you made 3 separate examples of locations that are connected to each other (i.e suspension bridge, elk falls and the main river) instead of showing other places like Miller Lake, Upper Campbell, Echo Lake, Stories Beach, Canyon Trail and Beaver Lodge Trail just to name a few.

For people coming from out of town these are all place of interest and easy for people who are tourists to get to. Appreciate the feedback and we will be producing more video on our areas a bit further out of town. 🙂
