Ross saying Rachel at the alter was everything that everyone had talked about that summer. The season ended on a cliffhanger for summer break and the next season didn’t start till fall. All people talked about throughout the summer was Ross saying “Rachel.” One of the greatest plot twists ever!

Ross saying Rachel wasn’t originally planned to happen. David Schwimmer accidentally said Rachel instead of Emily while doing a rehearsal for another scene and the show runners loved the idea of Ross flubbing Emily’s name for Rachel’s so much they wrote it as the final moment for the Season 4 finale which they were previously unsure about how to end.

I am not child-free myself. In fact I have a son that I love and would have loved to have another child, had medical issues not gotten in the way. That being said, I do have a couple of child-free friends (not the obnoxious kind). As such, I was rather upset that they made Penny pregnant in the finale of TBBT. It would have been nice to keep her child-free. Especially since there are so few truly child-free characters in sitcoms. But twice they decided to have a child-free character suddenly change their mind once they got pregnant. Yes, Bernadette had also started off child-free. It’s upsetting because it’s like saying that becoming pregnant will magically change a child-free person’s mind. And it doesn’t. Granted, that still didn’t piss me off as much as them killing the mother on HIMYM.

That MASH plot twist was gut-wrenching! You saw the women holding a chicken on the bus...and instead you find out it was her baby! And Hawkeye was the one screaming for quiet. It still gets me to this day! 💔

Fun fact: literally none of the cast of M.A.S.H knew about that plot twist, so all of the reactions are 100% real. They thought they were shooting b roll, and Radar got handed the page as he was walking through the door

I was expecting Col. Henry Blake's unexpected death to be no. 1. I remember I was a kid when I first watched it with my parents. My mother was shocked! She thought it was all a joke, saying MASH is supposed to be a comedy! How could they do that?

The How I Met your Mother twist was documented first by the song playing when Tracy was introduced called The Funeral, there was a clip of a headstone with the name mother when Marshall visited his dad, etc. It was decisive but did leave big clues that she was going to be killed off.

The mom dying from HIMYM in theory isn't so shocking. Him going to pursue Robin after the reveal AND after having us love Barney & Robin for so long. That was a shock and a slap in the face. As for Penny, we'll everyone has a right to change their mind but the fact that they never went any further with that reveal, that was super disappointing.

Number 8, I believe was in planned at some point in the middle or early parts of the series, however, I believe that they only made Penny not want kids to add DRAMA, which was very BADLY handled. At this point. In the show, other the actors and the writers had given up on this show, and honestly it shows because the last four seasons were GARBAGE. TBH why should’ve ended the after seven or maybe eight seasons TOPS. Kaley visibly stopped trying and gave up on Penny which is why Penny became a bitch and is slowly becoming a combination of both Bernadette and Beverly.

I also couldn’t stand Amy AT ALL. She was so stupid if she actually assumed that the baby was Sheldon’s or that she and Penny would breast feed each other’s babies (I wanted to punch both the writers and Amy for saying that). Penny became a bitch, and Leonard deserved better.
