Played Skyrim VR when they released it and I had fun. I decided I wanted to get back into elder scrolls again and holy crap the mods that released since than have drastically enhanced it. How did you start Blade and Blunt with Skyrim VR? This mod depends on Scrumblers Bugs, which in turn depends on the Address Library for SKSE plugins, which in turn does not work with SKSEVR. Accordingly, I get the error even when selecting different combinations of alternate mods. I would greatly appreciate a response from someone who was able to solve this problem, or get a comment from the author of the video. And so very useful video, thank you, I use almost all the mods you recommended

Great video! I found some new ones for myself as I also love SkyrimVR in full immersion style. There’s a great one that provides a map and compass, so you can navigate more naturally. There’s also a poop mod. Silly, but it’s kinda cool that you can track people (and animals) without the minimap because you just look for the poop.

About how much does it cost to get started with a VR Skyrim setup. I’ve played on a Jedi build on Xbox my whole life but this would really take that to the next level. I can’t even imagine how much more fun it would be. I’m guessing I’d have to buy/build a decent pc but idk what VR gear to get either

If you are going to use the PC for mainly VR then you can cheap out on peripherals like, monitors, keyboard/mouse, even a pc case. For CPU’s look for i7’s & i9’s for intel or, r7’s & r9’s for amd. Gpu I’d say rtx 2070 and above (Something with more than 8gb of vram is nice to have but not 100% necessary) USE AN SSD. Hard drives are in the past Meta’s quest line of headsets are affordable and do a decent job once you get the settings tweaked the way you want. I’d say you could play, depending on your fb marketplace luck, for between $800-1.5k

idk if you've found the solution but apparently SkyrimVR is an older version of skyrim. Version 1.4.15 and is a port of Special Edition (SE). So if you download mods that are for version 1.6 on anniversary edition (AE) it will not work. The way you can see what mod is erroring out is the name of that error window. I'm currently trying to install mods but now I'm stuck at installing scrambled bugs which is a dependency for blades and blunt. Idk how to fix it rn either.

For VRIK. You gotta calibrate your height then the scale. For Blade and Blunt you do need an older one, I use version 1.4.1

What i would be greateful to see, and i think others too, would be a wabbajack Fus video, where the focus lies on modding Fus to be a bit more content rich. Its a great pack, similar to yours, but it lacks armors, weapons, niche mods immersive creatures and more. Any chance you could do something baout it? Modded Fus?

95% of the Nexus will work for Skyrim VR. It really just depends on the compatibility that the VR community has made for other mods. SMIM is still commonly used for VR among others. I have a whole playlist of top 10s and guides for SkyrimVR that might help you decide if something is okay

I like your list.. but the vast majority of these mods require SKSE, which Bethesda apparently broke in an update not too far back. I had to cut all of my VR mods that required SKSE out of my list otherwise I can't get Skyrim to launch. And yet, every YuuTuuber still has SKSE mods in their 2023 recommendations. Did I miss a memo somewhere? Is SKSE fixed? Or is there an easy way to roll back my version of Skyrim? Teach me your ways o mighty one!

@@Tackitt it's been awhile but I remember having similar issues with my Skyrim anniversary edition having similar errors, since it's been so long I'm sorry that I can't remember it exactly but I do remember it being a very very simple fix that was annoyingly easy to solve, it has something to do with filenames specifically as well as very specific archived versions of the script extender but I can't for the life of me remember the specific details sorry. When in doubt ask reddit they've done and fixed everything in existence

I've installed hundreds of mods, but it made the game too buggy and unstable. IMO there's really only one mod i'd consider essential, and thats the spellwheel mod, as it eliminates having to bring up and scroll through the item menu every time you need to select items, which really slows the gameplay down. Having all your favorite items come up visually for you to grab makes a huge difference. It also uses the UI mod which makes inventory management much better. This is all you need to improve the game where it needs it the most, while keeping performance and stability as good as possible.
