If you are black in America, stick together, and stay on code where race relations are concerned it doesn't matter where you live. A united group of blacks is formidable and something to behold. If you aren't united forget it. Not disparaging these places but this is a society that doesn't want you in it on any kind of terms of equality. On terms of subordination it will accept you but forget terms of equality. Black octogenarian widower here, in less than two years a nonagenarian.

Also, have advanced degrees and do very well for themselves. I’m NEVER surprised when Northern Virginian cities are celebrated, but what about people without professional jobs? Simple put many black folks can’t afford the cost of living required. Someone else posted about security and safety in the cities. 🤷🏽♀️

Thank you for your list but I would be careful about Bowie and Waldorf, MD. I lived in Waldorf for a few years and in Temple Hills, MD for 15 years. All three cities are in Prince George’s County. Moved to Alexandria VA 7 years ago basically having to flee PG County because of the crime and low-rated schools. Bowie still has an active KKK chapter and the traffic getting out to either city is gridlocked 24/7 down Branch Ave/Rt. 301 or the awful Rt. 210/Indian Head Highway. There are simply too many people living in Waldorf and Bowie and not enough infrastructure to support all of them moving there. Bowie still has a nice amount of homes with land and a few small farms and a lot of parks. It is also an easy drive to Annapolis to experience Marylands famous crab cakes. Never move to Temple Hills. Shootings, break-ins, worst schools, the list goes on and on.

With that said, I would hardly consider the majority of these “small towns”. This is very misleading. If you meant by population, that’s different but several of these are very densely crowded suburbs in metropolitan areas. I was actually looking for “small towns” so you may want to reconsider the labeling of this video or define your definition of “small towns”.
