Luke Deciding To Go With Obi-Wan Saved His Life Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope There are many important planets in Star Wars but none seem so out of place as Tatooine. The desert world hosted many pivotal galactic events, but the most important thing about it was being the home to Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi watched over the boy, who would seek him out looking for the new R2 unit his Uncle Owen had bought. This led to Kenobi revealing some truths to Luke. Luke cleverly chose to go to Alderaan with Obi-Wan. This event changed everything, as it led directly to the destruction of the Empire.

@johnseelinger98038 ай бұрын
One other smart decision that should have been on the list was Luke giving his new lightsaber to R2-D2 before coming to Jabba's palace in "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi." After Luke made his new lightsaber, he gave it to R2 for safekeeping before either of them went to Jabba's Palace. That way when Luke entered Jabba's palace, the guards would not be able to confiscate his lightsaber since he didn't have it on him, and nobody in Jabba's palace suspected that a droid like R2-D2 would have it, and R2 would be able to give Luke his lightsaber when he really needed it.

The revelation that Palpatine gave away information about shield generator to Rebels was actually easy to guess right from the moment any information ever came to Rebels in the first place. There is no way they could have found out about something so crucial without it coming from someone who was at or near the top of Empire as it was kept a top secret. It was kinda easy to guess they were going into a trap set by someone very powerful in the Empire. Palpatine was the natural guess.

There’s also Skyguy training Ahsoka to hold her own against human shooters. If not for that, she wouldn’t have survived Order 66, and the rebellion would have been less successful. And, Kenobi, Yoda, and Organa deciding to split up Luke and Leia before hiding them from the Empire. Not even Vader suspected he had another heir until the last second. And, there’s Echo (amongst others) hiding in plain sight by disguising himself as a Stormtrooper while rescuing Omega and the other Clones from Hemlock. And, there’s Kenobi replacing the trap message at the Jedi Temple with his own warning to keep the Jedi from coming home. Supposedly, it took the Clones a while for them to realize it was there.

Honorable Mention: Tenn Graneet was a Human male Imperial gunner who was master chief gunnery officer in the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. He was assigned the role of pulling the firing switch on the Death Star's superlaser. However, he thought it was only meant for intimidation purposes. But then, he pulled the trigger on Alderaan. In the aftermath, his conscience got the better of him, having seen that he committed mass murder. During the Battle of Yavin, he decided to purposely repeat the words “Stand by” to give the Rebel Alliance enough time to destroy the Death Star before he could pull the trigger on Yavin IV. While he did perish in the Death Star, he perished knowing that he redeemed himself.
