My theory is that Wizard Traiborn sees thingummywuts (us the creatures controlling our runescape pixel characters) which is why he says you are a thingummywut. Traiborn can see the thingummywuts (us) and the bartender just knows the implication that stems from the thingummywuts existing, which is that its a computer game.

Also, the Town Herald in Varrock east bank outside can refer you to the runescape site for additional help, which means that he knows about runescape being a game as well, and not just that. He knows so much about it that he can refer you to a specific section of the website and what information is on it. Love the videos!

The Granite lobster is quite smart. It knows what Runescape is all about because all it says is "Grind". It is even more fitting because the granite lobster helps when you are fishing, which is one of the slowest skills in the game.

for me i have always found bob the axe trader to be one of the smartest NPC's in the game, with the fact that any armour or weapon that can be repaired he can repair it, even lost ancient armours whose crafting techniques are lost to the world doesnt holy 'ol bobby back as he works him magic
