Great video, BabbleTop!!! It's always nice to see videos about debunking myths. Growing up in the '70s and '80s, people always said "children shouldn't drink coffee because it 'stunts your growth'." I always thought it was odd that people who said it never used the word "stunt" as a verb for anything else, and never explained it using any other term. It was as if the idea was passed down verbatim and somehow everyone learned it the same way and never questioned it. Take care, and enjoy your soda everyone!

I did an experiment on the exact thing about soda and teeth in elementary school. It most certainly does and can dissolve a human tooth. You won't do it by drinking it, but after 4 weeks of changing the soda every 2-3 hours, coke did dissolve a human molar to a point where it was a shriveled brownish-black chunky sliver.

Soda eats away the enamel on your teeth. When you lose all of your enamel then your teeth are left unprotected and therefore they fall apart/rot. So, yes soda doesn't directly rot your teeth, but it does play a MAJOR factor in the decay of your enamel.

Sodas made with cane sugar might not be healthier but they taste far better, and are less "thick". You can taste/feel the syrup used in regular sodas and that's also why I prefer diet sodas to regular ones because they are not as thick.

It doesn't dissolve teeth, but it does discolor them and wears down enamel if consumed too often. It's about as bad as brushing your teeth too hard.

Yeah, if you're worried about the can blowing up when you open it, just stick it in the freezer. That'll pretty much guarantee a carbonated eruption. And if you've inadvertently frozen a carbonated beverage in a plastic bottle, you can *see* the bubbles going down when you tap it several times.

In the 80's there was a small bottle company where I grew up. The employees would walk on top of the pallets of can soda. So whatever was on the floor/their shoes are now on the can rim. Yummy.

The first one is true. Me and my mother have both worked in retail and have seen it firsthand with our own eyes. Whether it's inside or outside packaging, it still can happen from time to time. You can't tell me it's a lie if I happened to be one of the people who would help clean the warehouse where the sodas and other beverages were being stored, of pigeon feathers and mouse droppings. So yes I will continue to strongly advise people to continue cleaning their drinks before consuming them.

I did a study of santa many years ago, I use to believe the rumor that coke made him red but actually it was probably the American cartoonist Robert Nast, back in 1881 is the oldest known image of santa in red by Nast witch predates coke portraying him in red witch only goes back to the 1930s, before that Santa was seen predominantly in green with some blue and white so no coke didn't make santa red but there commercials did play a huge roll in promoting the red outfit

They are wrong about the teeth. It's true, it does dissolve baby teeth. I went to dental assisting school and did an externship in a dental office and saw a little girl about age 5 come in and the mom said she gave her soda all the time and I was traumatized as I cleaned what was left of her teeth they were breaking off and falling apart as I cleaned them. The poor girl couldn't eat much and made her depressed. I felt so bad for her and there wasn't anything we could do for her. Soda can take layers of paint off of cars, so yes it does break down the baby teeth and adult teeth. My ex husband used to drink soda all the time and not eat dessert. He had to get root canals later down the road. I will never forget that girl that lost most of her teeth because the parents were stupid and just gave her juice and soda all the times all that sugar mixed with the acid from the soda...Duh!!! So SAD!!!! 🤦💔😥😭😭😭

This is nonsense. 6: That's ridiculous. 7: If you drink a lot then come down from your high, you're gonna feel down no question, but it's only temporary. 8: Who said that? 9: That's ridiculous. 10: Yes. There are people that believe the difference between Mexican Coca-Cola and American Coca-Cola is that Mexican Coca-Cola has cocaine in it. It doesn't. It has cane sugar and not high-fructose corn syrup. Wait, what's the T-1000 doing in a Coca-Cola segment? True, the first roughly 66% of "T2: Judgement Day" was basically a big soda commercial, but it was a PEPSI commercial. No, seriously, watch the movie again. There's a Pepsi neon sign in the bar where the T-800 gets his clothes from that biker, the soda machine in the galleria was a Pepsi machine and so was the one in the mental hospital. There's a Pepsi can in the Cyberdyne lab where Dyson was introduced, and there was one in the hand of the guy the T-1000 plugged up with his pistol in the mall. If you watch the extended DVD addition, that little burger joint they stop at on the way to Enrique's place has Pepsi signs, Pepsi paper cups, etc. The product placement stops when they get to Enrique as business picks up, but trust me there is a LOT of Pepsi product placement in this movie!
