Top 10 Solar Lantern Hacks on a budget - Dollar Tree DIY 💡 🔆

This video shows my Top 10 Solar Light Hacks - High End - Easy things you can create with Dollar Store Solar Lights that are budget-friendly! In order to transform Dollar Tree items into lanterns, at times I melt off a plastic top, or melt a hole into plastic cup in order to string wire.
These are very basic, simple transformations that do no require any special skills. In fact, when I first started melting holes into plastic I simply used my hot glue gun, but in order to be more precise and accurate, a smaller hot iron tool makes it so much easier. That is when I searched out a Welling tool. It's funny because for years I thought it was a Welding tool. Actually, in order to find the tool I needed on Amazon, I searched welding tools until I saw a picture of what I wanted.

Great question! I cut out the bottom of the bowl so that the solar panel would have access to direct light.

Hi Anna! I did use my glue gun. It was my small one and I twisted it back and forth until it started to melt through. Let me know if that worked!
