That Alvin Lee and Mylon LeFevre album is an overlooked gem. It’s got a tone of famous musicians on it, like George Harrison himself (credited as Hari Georgeson), Steve Winwood, Ron Wood, Jim Capaldi, Mick Fleetwood, and Ian Wallace and Boz Burrell (who had been in the previous- at the time- lineup of King Crimson. Boz went on to join Bad Company shortly after that), and it’s just a great-sounding album altogether.

@spongerubbertowerI truly think most American music lovers knew that the Isley Brothers originally recorded "Twist and Shout". It was just that in the Beatles' version, John Lennon just about stripped his vocal chords and we couldn't help but love him for throwing himself into the song so thoroughly. It was pretty much like nothing we'd ever heard before. And, I wasn't even that much of a Lennon or McCartney fan. It was just the energy, I suppose. Maybe you had to have been there.

"Try Some Buy Some" también fue grabada por George para su segundo álbum. La versión de la gran Ronnie Spector es muy superior. "All Things Must Pass" fue el nombre de su extraordinario primer álbum solista. La versión de Preston suena diferente, tiene un toque Motown muy interesante. Hay una versión acústica de The Beatles muy buena de "Sour Milk Sea" Todas suenan muy Harrison. "Badge" de Cream fue muy adelantada a su tiempo. Suena a ochentera. "Run So Far" la grabó en su álbum póstumo "Brainwashed"

I'm a big Harrison fan. He inspired me to play guitar in his early Beatles days. This video shows me that even the most talented songwriters can't produce a hit every time. I've never even heard of many of these songs and many seem like they were forced. If they weren't written by Harrison they never would have been recorded. IMO if you want to be a successful writer you must be willing to accept that you will have many failures along with the successes.
