These are the best Special Forces that have proven themselves not once. Top 10 Special Forces list was created according the quantity of successfully done missions (although most of them are very classified), length of the training and of course the quality of equipment they use. It's my personal opinion so if you have any other idea of Top 10 Special Forces please write in comments bellow, I will read your message and answer why these or those Special Forces are not in list . I hope you like the video and click on the "Like" button, Thanks in advice ! Enjoy

This is the first video I have seen that includes the Australian and NZ SASR special forces, thank you. Our military focre may be small, but we have also some of the most intense military training required for our SAS and Commandos, as well as our standard infantry which has the training that puts them up and next to the American Green Berets and Rangers. We may not have as big selection of weaponry as most countries, but then again who needs selection when you have the right training? But thank you for showing that the Australian and NZ spec Forces can equal others :)

Buffo, Aus and NZ sf are trained by uk! You have to be based in Hereford in uk to become SAS soldier. Know body has mentioned Fijian and Samoan SAS officers yet, so in that case they would be the ones to be badass if it came to population size!

Ur quite right strawberry. Sasr don't have to be uk. Sasr formed 57' and are a great unit, modelled on the sas uk. But to become sas you have to train in uk. And under commonwealth partnership NZ, AUS and UK sas working together really are the bollocks. Piss all over other SF that's for sure....I wouldn't like to nick their parking spot haha

Some of the notable missions delta force has done. 1- they rescued the pilot that was held captive in Mogadishu 2- they played a role in the rescue of Pfc Jessica lynch. There are many more missions they have done that no1 knows about that's because "a true hero does not seek glory or fame they let their actions speak for themself"

If you have read Peter Radcliffs books. (He was an SAS Officer in the Gulf War), he mentions this 3 man SAS vehicle which crashed behind enemy lines in a ditch in an Iraqi infected Vally. The leader had been injured, as the two other SAS men defended him from attacks for about an hour, the leader bravely said to his fellow members to leave in safety. In which they did, with the leader eventually getting overrun and captured by the Iraqis. Amazingly the leader survived the ordeal after the war

The SBS and SAS (including the Anzacs) are built differently and trained differently. More psychological and physical endurance based; more lone working, more long term undercover; long distance recon. Do more with less, due to Troop and Corp rotations during probation and continuous service. I still argue, from a physical and mental point of view as a tech diver, that water based additions are harder and certainly more dangerous. They carry more kit, and have the dangers associated with submarine entry, drift diving, over exertion; oxygen toxicity and climbing oil rigs in freezing temperatures in the middle of the night! Not to mention kayaking vast distances. The US are very good and have fantastic senior commanders, logistics and a robust Tier 2 with effective central control. Good in different ways, and can cover pitfalls, due to having more men to spread skills across..

The SAS and SBS do both roles, for example, the SAS have a boat troop etc. For an example for the SBS, in the Gulf War the SBS were responsible for carrying out diversionary raids along the Kuwaiti coast which in effect diverted a number of Iraqi troops to the SBS area of operations and away from the main thrust of the coalition build up. The SBS and SAS were conducting covert operations against the IRA also, that was further suited to the SBS style however, due to water based insertions etc

Not to mention, in that op you are speaking about, SAS units guided in the Chinooks which equip the Indians forces. The SAS patrols carried out fact-finding missions in support of the UN mission in the war-torn African nation, in which, SAS spotters on the ground helped to guide Indian and British helicopters in rescuing more than 200 UN observers and soldiers held hostage by Revolutionary United Front rebels. (Operation Khukri)

I realise this, the same with the SBS, they would get behind enemy lines in their canoes in the Italian and European theater, I am reading a book where it states the use of mini torpedos. What has to be stated however, is the inconsistency of the US Special Forces origination, disbandment, not fully defined until the creation of Delta and ST6. It can be said, it wasn't until the Gulf War, the British persuaded the use of SF, that General Norman Schwarzkopf (USCC) saw the light in such units

What little i know, the Recces have been mostly involved in operations in Africa itself. Most of their known operations were during 1984 and 1985,. They were involved around the disupted borders with Namibia and Angola till 1989. They have a Preselection where there basics are tested. Then they have a 1 week selection and then training.

It's a known fact that the closed community within Delta Force is way more secretive. You may hear all this cool stuff about the SEALs but that's because their policy is way less restrictive. You continuously hear news on Navy SEALs writing books, co-starring in movies, doing live interviews, etc. Thus, obviously giving us a better view within the SEAL community. Delta Force, on the other hand, is NOT allowed to do any of this. Compared to other American special forces, these interviews and books are far and few between. Honestly I know (and basically everyone else) is that they're, and if not the most elite and secretive American SFs. I also know that they're recruitment method is invite only, you can't apply to it.

Operation Barras (Best Modern Rescue mission), Peterhead Prison Rescue, Iranian Embassy Siege (already the most notable mission there is) Gambia Hostage Rescue, Basra Rescue, British-led Rescue Of Norman Kember. These are just hostage rescue missions. The Killing House was invented by the SAS, along with the tactics around CT etc. The Killing House has brought in many special VIPs to witness the SAS's skills. Notable VIP's include Prince Charles, Diana, Princess of Wales, always with live ammo

There are some definitive points you must realise on this subject. Take into consideration, the SAS are the forefront of Special Forces, they have the longest history and experience, they created the tactics for CT, and direct action (as seen with their conflicts 1950s present which were unseen at the time) SBS trained the strategic allies in the long stand off between East and West included were the newly created SEALs and Iran's Naval Special Forces. One must analysis to come to a judgement

You don't understand, Op Black Tornado was just a police/national guard security operation, 166 people died with 600 injured. Operation Khukr included the SAS. FL427 had 3 hijackers.. Op Barras was against 150+ militants, with heavy equipment (mortars etc) in the jungle (not where to escape and evade if op goes wrong) SAS observation teams scanned the camp for a week of pure reconnaissance. So many things could of gone wrong too. Op Barras also saved Sierra Leone from revolution and anarchy.

What I'm saying is, It costs money to take a unit and drop them out of helicopters into the ocean, or train them on various weapons, or to build a killhouse to train in, or teaching them CQB, or how to disarm bombs, or how to move quietly through high threat level areas. It's a lot different then just buying a tread mill or going running. The equipment they train on is just as crucial as the training itself. Even the SAS will tell you that.

Nearly all special forces have their roots in WWII. The Navy SEALs started as UDT (underwater demolition teams) or "frog men" who operated in both the pacific and European theaters. Frogmen were responsible for clearing obsticals on enemy beaches, armed only with a knife and explosives, swimming to shore for more than 5 miles of open ocean regularly. They were active in Vietnam, and continued to develop to what we have today. BTW, most NATO SpecOps respect eachother for their ability.

But they're all trained by their own. BUT they do sometimes CROSS train. The Royal Marines, as the Mountain & Arctic Warfare Cadre, saw victories against the Argentinians more notably Compañía de Comandos 602, ie Battle at Top Malo House. The Royal Marines were successful in the conflict.

To say that one is better than the other is impossible. However, one could make the argument that USSOCOM units are at the top of the ladder RIGHT NOW because they have been constantly deployed for the past 12 or 13 years. US SOF also have logistical and mission support advantage over units from other countries due to the size of the US military. But, considering that US SOF are often deployed as members of coalition task forces you could say that every country allied with the US has that suppor
