El Speed Metal pese a su nombre no se define tanto por la rapidez, es más bien el nexo entre el Heavy Metal y el Thrash, más intenso que el primero pero menos que el segundo. Ahora en este video en particular se muestran más que nada bandas Power Metal.

I found speed metal only couple of months ago, and it has quickly become close to being my favorite genre of metal. Probably the best "hidden secret" of metal community. That said, numbers 8,7,4,2 and 1 are obviously Power Metal... COB is Death Metal and Kalmah is Trash probably (or Death Metal, can't say from that short snippet). So there's 3 actual Speed Metal songs in this video... They're interesting surel and l'll check them out... but yeah... I'm not really that interested in labeling music, but when you do I'd hope some consistency.

@@sbssmachine1 That has nothing to do with it. It's about influences and what stylistical quirks the music has. I would be pretty miffed to buy a record labeled "speed metal" and then finding out it sounds like Korn. Or buy a ticket inside to see "power metal" band, and then finding out it's some sort of death metal. Also, it's really interesting to follow these lineages to see how different veins of metal have formed. But really, I bothered to complain because "Speed metal" is very underrated and obscure genre these days, and I hoped I could have found some I didn't knew yet in from this video

@t3rrorific eso es men por los muchos cambios de formacion q se han dado en helloween, por eso todos sus discos se escuchan diferente asi como lo dices, pero en esencia muchas de sus canciones tienen "speed" x su complejidad al ejecutarse, aunque no sea speed totalmente, en si helloween son llamados los padres del "power metal" checa la rola "starlight" del año 1985 ahi te daras cuenta que tiene tanto lo que se pudiera llamar los principios del speed como la esencia del power en general. saludos
