Fun idea: We take cards and sandwich them together to compliment each other. Effects, names, ATK/DEF stats, types and attributes. We could do like into like (spells into spells, traps into traps, monsters into monsters) or mix and match (like inserting said spells/traps into monsters as monster or pendulum effects, or taking monster effects and transplanting them into spells or traps, or even turn them into spell/trap monsters.) For example, I have a “Red-Eyes Black Rose Dragon” that blends together the Red-Eyes and Rose archetypes in name and effects that would be a good example I think. A red eyes effect, a rose effect and something in between for some cohesion: _Red-Eyes Black Rose Dragon_ (FIRE) Level 8 Dragon/Tuner/Synchro/Effect +1 Tuner + +1 non-tuner This card’s attribute is always also treated as DARK. If this card is synchro summoned, you can add 1 “Rose” or “Red-Eyes” card from your deck to your hand for each “Rose” or “Red-Eyes” monster you use as synchro material. Once while this synchro summoned card is on the field (Quick effect), you can return this card to your extra deck, then destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn (Quick Effect), you can tribute Dragon or Plant monsters in your hand or field whose combined level/rank equal or exceed 7, then special summon 1 level 7 or lower “Rose” or “Red-Eyes” monster from your hand or deck. Once per turn (Quick effect), you can banish 1 Dragon or Plant monster in your GY, then target 1 monster in your hand or face-up on the field; the ATK/DEF of that monster becomes 0. ATK/2400 DEF/2000

Probably a typo but why would you ever want to put the atk/def of a card on your field to 0, as well as same question but for the hand? Besides that question I dont mind the design of this card, has some interesting effects as well as i can tell you really like quick effects. Imo the second effect could easily be just a normal ignition effect but being able to get out a free-ish body on the board on the opponents turn isnt bad

@@mymetallicarulez the 0 ATK/DEF thing being applicable for your own monsters is for use with cards like “Inferno Reckless Summon” that make use of lower ATK or DEF values. A lot of cards with bigger bodies loss out on support geared for smaller monsters, but with THIS you get to work around that to some degree. I like to brainstorm effects that look odd at a glance but have a lot of potential for anyone willing to put in the work and mental gymnastics in milking the most from them. For the record THIS is IRS if anyone doesn’t know or hand forgotten: (When exactly 1 monster with 1500 or less ATK is Special Summoned to your field while your opponent controls a face-up monster: Special Summon as many monsters as possible with the same name as the Summoned monster, from your hand, Deck, and Graveyard, in Attack Position, also your opponent Special Summons as many monsters as possible with the same name as 1 of their face-up monsters, from their hand, Deck, and Graveyard.) So with THIS for example you could lower the stats of a higher ATK monster from your hand, special summon it however you can, THEN special summon 2 more (or 2 _+_ if it treat its name as another monsters) of that monster from anywhere besides the extra deck and banish zone at full strength.

Weird that metalfoes fusion is not here. In previous videos you mentioned it as a generic engine. A 1+ graveyard effect is always nice but the need of discarding it or sending it to the graveyard may be the problem in first place, as if you draw it without any way to get rid off immediately transform a 1+ to a brick most of time.

I could see Soul of the Supreme King being eligible for this list since it has an actual GY effect but as for waking the dragon, it wouldnt make the list cause it isnt considered a GY effect it is considered a floating effect. In the case of this video he was only looking at cards that strictly go to the GY and has to either be maunually activated or some kind of condition has to be met to be used like Fog Blade needing a phantom knight monster in the GY to use it's effect. If he was counting floating effects then absolute zero would almost definitely be on here as well as mirrorjade.

Damn didn't know about rainbow. Could actually be +5. Use magicians soul to discard rainbow and draw a card. Use rainbow to get a crystal beast plus magical meltdown. Magical meltdown gives aleister, normal summon aleister then use it as link material, fusion summon then return it to hand. So for discarding rainbow you'd have 1 draw 1 Crystal beast 1 field spell that gives protection a link material on the field a fusion monster on the field and aleister back in the hand ready to go + 2 on the next turn. That's not even including the other strategies you could employ. If you special summoned magicians soul via sending sorceier de fluer from deck to the graveyard and combined soul with allister to make cross sheep you could then bring out invoked and use cross sheeps effect to bring back soul. Combine them into selene to bring out de fluer and special summon from the opponents graveyard. Combine oponnents monster with selene into a link 4 like acesscode talker. So with just soul and rainbow in hand, by the end of this combo you now have aleister and a drawn card in hand plus a crystal beast which can be used as cost for mechabas effect. A field spell that has alright protection and can be discarded for benefit by cards like droplet and soul, a invoked monster, a spare body on the field from de fluer and a link 4. I'm surprised I've never seen this played. I suppose not everyone can play it. About a third of the cards in my deck can either discard from the hand to gain benefit or can search for a monster that does. This is gonna be a nice addition.

I was actually thinking of adding my two copies of breakthrough skill to my side deck earlier today. I used to run it in my old deck that I used back in 2012ish when I was playing last. Now I run dark worlds, and itd probably be a good side in, since I use two copies of foolish burial goods as well to get my dark world accession in to my graveyard( or alternatively punishment or puppetry).

That’s the only thing I can think of. A generic +1 from the gy is so good that it’s probably been on so many top 10s (best fusion cards, cards that are used outside their archetype, etc.) that it wasn’t allowed. Although I would’ve liked to see some kind of honorable mention at the end about it.

It's just a draw 1 card, generic indeed but it doesn't do anything in non metalfoes deck if you draw into it. Fusion substitute can be used to fusion summon because it is just a poly but field only, then recycle your fusion in gy, then draw 1 card.

Honestly pretty much every Tear Spell/Trap that sees play should be on this list, though it'd kill the variety. Scream, Cryme, and Sulliek are key consistency tools to the deck's mills and provide important interaction to end on as part of the deck's combo.
