I literally wore all of these in the early 2000s..everything is just coming back. I wish I would've kept a lot of my old clothes and big bags but I cannot go back to the capris 😂

I love all these. I remember the drop waist being really popular in 2006/2007. I also love the larger bags, especially the large shoulder bags with rouching that were in style around that time! Hopefully we'll see more of those!

Hey!! I just found your channel. It’s my 2024 resolution to be more fashionable and feel better in my clothes, but I am not stylish and I’ve had a hard time finding influencers with my body type (short, larger chest and bum, small waist). I love your style, and it would be awesome if you could make a video about how you’d build a capsule wardrobe if you were doing it today & how you incorporate trendy pieces each season 🫶🏼

Here a tip regarding the drop waist trend: 1920s had almost no waist emphasis so a straight cut shift dress would look effortless and chic on someone slender with very little curves. If you want to wear it with more of a curvy body, look for items that are equally loose along your body otherwise you’ll look much heavier. A soft and slinky fabric is best suited for this. The 1960s also had a drop waist but with more of an A-line. This looks gorgeous on someone with bigger hips/thighs/bum. 60s mod looks is heavily influenced by children’s clothing so you can go nuts with colour and simple bold patterns. It’s also the time of the mini skirt so usually the hemline was ✨very✨ short, but legs for days - you know?!😏 1980s drop waists like in most of those pics were very form fitting on the top, which helps to keep it flattering, and voluminous on the bottom. The easiest way to wear this would be in one colour or at least similar shades to elongate your body. I would suggest keeping the top simple and structured ( if you’re looking for something smoothing ) and let the bottom half do the talking. 💜 Hope that helps some of you 🫶

I wore a lot of capris as a preteen/early teen, but I was also about 5’7 at 13. Every pair of capris was actually strange looking shorts on me (pants were also all flooding so became strange looking capris). I will not be embracing capris lol
