The prequel sets are what killed the game for most of us. The added mechanics were terrible.

I had all of these cards once upon a time. I bought a huge box of them at a thrift store. I sold them all to help pay for college. I still have my holo Red 5 though. Red 5 standing by.

I was so proud of black border Darth Vader back in the day. It stayed at $60 for so long. That was soooo much money to me back then. My best friend and I traded it for SW CCG and MTG cards back and forth a lot.

Awesome how you know so much its obivous you love these. Interesting to hear that they created tech to get a better photo from the reel. So weird to think about I never even pictured how they were getting the images I am so used to digital!

Never got in to this my self. It's definitely growing on me I'm just not a fan of card games that have real images on them but the more I learn about the swccg the worse the itch to collect them gets lol. Not itchy enough for me yet however.

The first set (Premiere Limited) came out in 1995, the last set (Theed Palace) came out in 2001.

The timing of this video is very strange, as my older brother and I found all of our old cards at our parent's place. At the time this card game came out was the same year we got our first VHS machine and VHS original trilogy (pre-special edition), so Star Wars was new and fresh in our minds even though the trilogy had been out well over ten years. Premiere, A New Hope, Hoth, Dagobah and Cloud City were always my favorites. Only in Limited though, I didn't like the white border of the Unlimited.
