But as an angler you can easily make some mistakes when chasing stocked trout. Great video. One of the biggest gaffs I have seen is no net. Especially those fishing in boats. I see it almost every time I go trout fishing. Keep up the good work, love your videos. Thanks!

Not trying corn is a big mistake. I've people ask me what I was catching all these trout on, then stick their nose in the air and look down on corn. Sometimes one kernel and no weight works best. But take as many kinds of bait as possible. use 2 hooks about 14in appart And 2 rods. Where legal.then you have 4 hooks and 4 baits. Yesterday I used worms, corn ,power bait and honey worms at the same time. I knew what bait I should focus on at what time (the one bait that out shines the rest. ) But it can easily change and it did 3 times! PS Just got done cleaning my trout. Gonna get some more soon.

Biggest trout I’ve caught have been on the smallest presentations. Particularly when fly fishing. I’ve caught 5 pound trout on size 20 and 22 flies. Good tips, thx.

Myself 30 plus years of stock trout fishing in Texas of all places. I’ve learned these exact lessons all are valid. Did mention weather I’ll be more specific and say barometric pressure - in the small ponds I fish it certainly effects. One other - don’t hesitate to change leader length depending upon conditions.

I'm going stock trout fishing in a reservoir on Saturday on a boat. I've been guilty of casting in the same area for 10 minutes at times thinking the fish may go to that area. I'll change it up more often haha

If the water is super clear, use more natural/darker colors (silver, gold, black, dark red, dark green, brown).
