JT thank you, he is a ham so he warmed up to the camera quick. I have been dreaming of doing a video with him for a while. I loved doing it. I posted for kids so he could look at it on his KZbin for kids. And that is why we can’t leave comments. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

I understand, Steve.. Sean has his own channel. Let's Travel with Sean. Your grandson might like it. I would think.. If his parents let him, that is. He really did a fine job of flipping those records ! Haha😂 Awesome !

I recently discovered your channel and am just starting to get into this type of music. I’ve never heard of most of these bands and checked them out as I watched your video. And wow I am now a fan of all of them! That Pallbearer song you mentioned is awesome!

Zonkman. I got to give you very high props for this one. You know your stoner/doom bands. I did not know 75% of them which is cool. More for me to check out. I did see REZN a few years back as a backup to a local band called Elder. A brother of a friend of mine was playing in the band Elder. I did not know any of the bands music. But I went anyways. I do remember REZN being very sludgy and super tight. Great job all around Z-Man~ Rob/Boston
@stevebender45467 ай бұрын
Rob, oh shit you got the inside scoop on Elder. They are next level. They just got off the tour with Tool. I probably don’t talk about Elder enough, but they are right there with King Buffalo and All Them Witches as far as Zonkman favorites. Killer you’ve seen them and Rezn. Our good buddy VK from Chicago is the only reason I found out about Rezn (Chicago based). I still need to see Elder live. You are the man with the inside deal now. Appreciate you, brother! Okay, let’s just say I had no clue about a single album you showed. Cool art work on a lot of the albums. I did not know that much Stoner/ Doom even came out. Very interesting. Glad the sax is getting some love in this genre.
@stevebender45467 ай бұрын
Steve, there is so much Stoner stuff. I can’t afford all I know. There is more on top of that. The stoner genre is the new rock revival. It’s just happening underground. Yea the sax is wild but it works. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

I saw REZN earlier this year with King Buffalo, they were fantastic. That Howling Giant record is incredible. Dozer was one of my favorites of last year too. What a return! Green Lung was another of my favorites of last year. Be sure to check out Kadabra, Saint Karloff, Faerie Ring, Blood Ceremony records. Black Sky Giants and Strider put out some stellar albums too but digital only. Really good list!
@stevebender45467 ай бұрын
King Buffalo is the shit! I bet that was a great show! Excellent you are familiar with a lot of this and more. This is currently the new modern rock movement even though it’s been going on for 30 years underground. I am familiar with Blood Ceremony, I only got the cd last year of The Old Ways Remain, or whatever the title. I am familiar with Black Sky Giant, waiting for physical media to be released some day, maybe. The others I will definitely check out. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

Wow Steve you've been busy this year ( so far😊 ). You better take an extra day to post after a concert 😁. Me thinks there's more to the story besides vibes 😅. I liked that Coven you sent me a ways back. There's a whole genre there that I probably would like. Peace 🕊️ brother

Sounds like it was a great show. I am totally unfamiliar with every band you mentioned except for Queen Of The Stone Age. Best album cover has to be Domkraft....but all of them were pretty awesome. Great rundown Zonkman!
@stevebender45467 ай бұрын
Randall, yes the show was great. Queens is definitely a good jumping in point for the genre. I started with Kyuss back in ‘93. It’s alright you haven’t heard of any of the other bands. I know you have some All Them Witches. And I haven’t heard anything from the post office. I will reset and send something to dip your toes more into this area. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

I’ve seen videos of top albums from 1965, 66, & so on. Lol It’s stoner, it took longer to compile the list. Lol And I’m definitely not doing a top 10 on December 13 of that year when there are still releases due out. Ha ha. This is great. Most people can’t do comments like this. Thank you Jon. These are the comments I enjoy that no one has the balls to send. You gotta have fun with it.
