I made my own versions of these lists of what I believe ar the strongest Pokemon of each type, and I don't allow repeat Pokemon nor do I have Pokemon from the same evolution line as another one on the same list, since that feels like it's just ignoring other great Pokemon. Don't get me wrong, Chansey isn't bad by any means. But if you're gonna have a member of the Happiny line as part of the list, it's best to just stick with the final evolution.

@@spacezeppeli7358 oh Regigias actually isn’t a restricted Pokémon. I hit top 8 in a GS Cup restricted format VGC tournament using Zacian, Yveltal, Weezing, Regigias, Regieleki and Incineroar. Since Regigias isn’t restricted you can have three busted legendaries on one team if you use it in a restricted format.

Decided to give my own take on this list minus legendaries: 1. Chansey/Blissey - has remained in use since the start, still useful. 2. Staraptor - more a flying type than a normal type, but still powerful. 3. Snorlax - still strong and still good for in game playthroughs 4. Porygon 2/Z - for the same reasons mystic gave, plus eviolite for P2. 5. Kangaskhan - for its mega, although its ability has been nerfed. 6. Obstagoon - personal favorite from S&S, and improved variant of a normal type. 7. Tauros - since it was the top normal type back in gen 1 competitive. 8. Slaking - another favorite of mine, which can be useful if its ability is worked around. 9. Smeargle - one of the most used normal types, and represents the type's versatility. 10. Eevee - secondary mascot, alongside usually being given some gimmick.

My fav normal type I use regularly: Cinccino. This adorable floof ball is vicious. I got that hidden ability on it (skill link) and loaded it up with all the multi hit moves. There are so many times when I see a Rayquaza and I go "Legendary dragon god, meet floof ball of murder." I have never failed to one turn KO those with Mofu Mofu (that's it's name). Pairs rediculously well with male meowstic with that prankster ability.

I actually find normal types to be way more interesting than dragon types. The majority of dragons are kind of the same, they hit hard and fast, with no interesting strategy. Cool? yes Interesting? Not so much.

That and the fact the majority of Dragons are outclassed by other better dragons. Like why use Flygon instead of Garchomp? Why use Druddigon when Haxrous exists? Etc. At least with normal types (even the bad ones) they usually can pull off a multitude of different sets due to the normal types coverage and (generally) excellent movepools. Meanwhile most Dragons are stuck with "hit hard, very little utility" leading to the majority being outclassed.

Stoutland should be on this list. Access to sand rush allows it to be an effective sand storm sweeper. Intimidate is viable too for lowering physical mon attack. Scrappy is also an added bonus for dealing with ghost types

I was really hoping ditto was at least considered for this list. It's famous for the ultimate wildcard at breeding as well as access to the hidden ability impostor, so that whenever it gets sent out it immediately transforms into the opponent it sees directly, complete with stats and their alterations (except for the HP), moves (albeit with 5 PP each), type(s), and ability (though not item, so you could choice scarf this and watch it outrun anything that isn't scarfed itself as well as tie any scarfer).

Exploud with Boomburst and a Choice Specs or Choice Scarf is pretty OP and has some serious sweeping potential in the lower tiers. at least someone else recognizes that potential besides me. i'm glad Exploud is finally getting recognition.

but it's not really Exploud's stats that make it OP in lower tiers it's because of Boomburst being 140 power STAB(which gives a 1.5x bonus meaning it's actually 210 power move)move when combined with certain items such as Choice Specs or Silk Scarf it's going to one shot(if not 2 shot) a lot of things even pokemon with higher stats. all the pokemon you listed (Meloetta, Linoone, Swellow, and Obstagoon)could be 1-shot by Exploud if it's set up correctly. i did the math. so yeah those pokemon usually outclass Exploud by a lot but if you set Exploud up correctly it could go from being mediocre or average to being a force to be reckoned with.

@Muhammad Ali Imran yeah but it's great hp mixed with mediocre defenses even out making it decently bulky so it can take at least 1 or 2 hits from all those pokemon as long as they are not super effective. 104 hp is really good so it evens out it's mediocre defenses making it decently bulky. the only pokemon out of the ones listed i see actually having a chance to 1 shot exploud(this is excluding set up and super effective moves)is Meloetta
