Top 10 Strongest Pokemon in Sword and Shield

Pokemon Sword and Shield has quite the list of Pokemon going from small to big and of course weak to strong. Either way in my honest opinion I think Pokemon Sword and Shield has introduced us with some of the best mons ever created especially in the strong sense. Some of these new pokemon have absolutely busted stats, brand new moves, new abiltiies, and a plethora of other reasonings. I’m just saying generation 8 has introduced with some of the strongest pokemon we have ever seen. That’s why today, I wanted to countdown the top 10 strongest pokemon in sword and shield. These are the mons that in my opinion are going to be some of the most powerful assets to player’s teams. I also think that these Pokemon are going to be the most impactful in changing the Sword and Shield meta game no matter what side you play. But enough of my speech hyping these guys up let’s just show them off and get started with this list!

here's a little secret: Inteleon. ability: sniper. item: scope lens. moves - snipeshot, ice beam, dark pulse, focus energy. the ability makes critical hits do 2.25x damage. scope lens increases critical hits by 1 stage, focus energy increases critical hits by 2 stages. stage 3 = guaranteed critical hits, so every move after you setup with 1 focus energy is critical. thank me later.

I really feel that Inteleon at least deserves a mention. It's the fastest of all three starters, has a massive Special Attack stat, has great coverage, and Snipe Shot also ignores abilities like Barraskewda's hidden ability while also having a high crit rate. If not for Greninja having two of the most ridiculous abilities in the game, Inteleon would honestly be a straight upgrade to it.

first wanna preface this by saying you sound like a child so that goes into the calcs. If you type in your exact situation into a damage calculator you can see why you’re full of shit, or just lucky. Randomly distributing all EV’s and IV’s and giving inteleon a random nature, there’s a 0% you could have OHKO’d a neutral nature 0 EV HP/Sp.Def Cinderace. Even if you did somehow have a 31 IV sp.atk Inteleon with a modest nature and 252 sp.atk EV’s, there was still only an 18% chance that you would have OHKO’d in the situation you named.

So an Intelleon OHKOing Cinderace, even if 10 levels lower than it is possible. It is actually a pretty good Pokemon, my only complaint about it is its monotyping. With a dual type or a Protean-like ability, it'd probably tied with Greninja as my favorite Water-type Pokémon.

Why is Inteleon ENTIRELY ignored, it outspeeds Cinderace and can OHKO a significant portion of the less bulky pokemon. Even against bulkier threats it can pull of OHKOs, with or without type advantage, and sniper giving it more access to crits aint nothing to scoff at.

I love my Amped form Toxtricity. He destroys everything! I dont ever go anywhere without him somewhere in my team lineup. He has boomburst which is just wickedly overpowered, as well as some stunning electric moves, poisoning moves and black sludge as his item. He has become one of my top five favorite Pokémon ever. I love my Caliper (his nickname). If I had to trade all my Pokémon away and only keep one, I’d keep Caliper.

Dragapult’s high speed also makes it useful to cover a Dracovish by paralyzing a target for Dracovish first, and then getting Dracovish to use Fishious Rend. It’s super OP in double battles.

I think Frostmoth deserves a mention. Yes, first glance it's weak x4 to rocks and fire, but Ice Scales doubles the 90 SpD for free, making it base 180. Put this guy with assault vest and you have an special fortress. With Quiver Dance, Giga Drain and some coverage in Dazzling Gleam for example, this bug can be a legitimate threat, although it's true you must be careful. And beware of the damn pink blobs.

Great video, but the transition changes are very jarring.. the way you talk fast and fluent creates this rhythm that comes to a screeching stop when queuing into a transition that’s completely silent. It feels like the animation takes an hour because we are stuck with dead air. If the background song carried on through the transition it would bring so much more to the video. Just something to think about when editing. Keep up the good work!

Dragapult is much more versatile as a special attacker. I’ve been breeding them with modest nature and their hidden ability cursed body and I highly recommend because it gets access to thunderbolt, flamethrower, shadow ball, and hydro pump. People won’t know what to expect! I did this because I was getting tired of phantom force taking 2 turns and I wanted shadow ball to be worth giving it.

Your moveset for Dragapult was the same one I gave mine 😂 You forgot to mention that U-Turn gives it something to deal with Dark Types. I love this thing so much. Probably my favorite new Pokémon.

Intelion is a pretty serious powerhouse too. It's a glass cannon but if you can make it work it could sweep most teams. Even Cinderace falls in 1 shot since it wouldn't move 1st.
