I'm not sure I'd consider grizzlies (and black bears) as apex predators, at least not compared to the animals in this video,cbecause they don't really get most of their sustenance from actively hunting down prey as opposed to scavenging or catching fish. Polar bears, though, yeah, you have a point there. They're definitely a top predator.

In fact the cheetah was already injuried during a fight with another cheetah one day ago. You can see he doesn't try to run (not able to do this). A healthy cheetah is way faster than a lion. The lions attack cheetahs because the cheetahs hunt the lion cubs. I saw this video few years ago (Discovery or something like this, they explained all the scene).

I'm just gonna talk about this Tiger VS Bear debate real quick. We don't know what a tiger vs kodiak bear fight would be like. Those two animals live across the largest ocean in the world from each other. We have not seen fights between the largest bears and largest tigers, as the bears hunted by tigers are smaller than the bears in North America.

Cheetahs don't have the stamina to run 60 or 70 mph for long distances. They're only able to do run full speed in short bursts or sprints. So lions, hyenas, etc are definitely capable of killing a cheetah.

So, what about the big and extremely dangerous polar bear? I am sure The polar bear always hunts alone and shows no fear whatsoever. Adult males can reach a weight of up to 1000 kg. But they live on a continent that is very demanding. You will not find any of the other guys there. The tiger is an ambush predator , solitary . Whereas the male lion is pumped with testosterone, constantly fighting off nomadic male lions . Sometimes numbering 4 or more . Taking on a full Hyena clan sometimes numbering 25 or more ( the spotted Hyena ones - extremely dangerous). The Siberian Tiger would match the lions through sheer size alone . But they are totally different in habitual patterns. And the prey are larger in Africa than India and Siberia . I suppose it's the aggressive nature of each individual animal with their own species.
