his bankai probably his base idea on creating hogyoku. i mean that thing grand perfection, evolution. for example the hollofied member of gotei. he use the hogyoku to reconstruct the outcome. for shinigami to have tainted with hollow. they should be dead in process. the outcome should never be a success except because uruhara using that hogyoku the result is different.. the main reason of why still creating a hogyoku when he himself already have bankai with the ability to reconstruct literally anything.. is just because he really lazy and dont want to show his bankai lol

It may have been the inspiration but his bankai has limits. Likely, he cannot stabilize a corrupted soul, he needs the hogyoku for that? It seems he can alter corporeal construct with his bankai but not the soul itself. Hard to explain...

I love the idea that with Aizen’s shikai that if you touch the blade you break the spell, because that would effectively mean that the instant he slashed you with the blade that you would be momentarily free from complete hypnosis before it resumes again. Imagine that moment where for a split second you actually see all the carnage around you and the real Aizen in front of you, then as the blade loses contact with you - you’re back in the dream.

The hypnosis is not a trance. It's controls your five senses but not your logic and reasoning. They aren't gonna freak out if they see a giant sea otter or something cause they'd know aizen is the one causing it. He uses it in a more subtle way if you watch all his fights you'll understand what I mean.

It's only if you touch the blade BEFORE its release. Let alone if you've already seen its release since only Aizen can release the hypnosis when he so pleases. The ability is still active even after reverting to its base form if you've already seen it once.

Benehime actually says a lot for why Urahara doesn’t want to fight against the Soul King. With the potential comes the fear. To be able to restructure or change something also makes it apparent that somethings are better left the same. His philosophy of understanding the world instead of wanting to change it is a big part of why he doesn’t use his Bankai.

Just like how there are kido-based zanpakutos, there are also physical types like Ikkaku's and Kenpachi's. Ikkaku's bankai has the ability to augment itself in order to become sharper over time, meanwhile Ichigo's bankai has the ability to augment his body in order to make him faster and he gains an energy attack. Honestly? Even the fake one it's a decent mid-level bankai.

Agreed,Ichigo Kurosaki was basically only using a small part of his powers. Which was him mostly just using his quincy powers (his absolutely insane AF hollow self making a personal appearance being an exception) for the majority of the series from my understanding. And he didn't TRULY tap into his actual Soul Reaper powers until the last arc of the series. Now imagine IF Ichigo had gained access to the majority of his Quincy and Hollow/Soul Reaper Powers as well. When he underwent his training with Kisuke Urahara before going off to rescue Rukia Kuchiki from being executed. The guy would have most likely more or less easily beat all of his opposition. AND the incident at the Shiba house,where his power went kinda haywire likely would have been much worse as well. And I can't even really imagine what the kid would have been like when facing down Aizen. The original battle was pretty intense,but this one would likely have been insane AF.

"The Blade IS Me" chapter to me very much says that all of Ichigo's powers are Zangetsu. Zangetsu at the start of Arrancar tells him that he will take over if he is about to die (and that happens on the Ulquiorra fight) and again the Blade IS me chapter Ichigo says that both the old man and white were Zangetsu. And that both Zangetsu are him, because as the chapter says. The blade is him. Every Zanpakuto is part of their wielder

I've heard a theory that the there's a final form of Zanpakuto beyond the Bankai. It's when the Zanpakuto fuses with the weilder. Sorta like when Kyoka Suigetsu almost fused with Aizen after the influence ot the Hogyoku. The "Blade is Me" chapter gains new relevance if this theory proves to be true. I think Ichigo has just begun this fusion of powers with his Zanpakuto...and the process hasn't been completed yet.

@@DarkNorthEmperor That isn't a theory it is referred to as "Transcendence" Only Aizen and maybe Ichigo in his Dangai form (debatable since it wasn't actually Zangetsu) have ever achieved this since fusing with their Zanpakuto is more of a Ressurection/Arrancar power than a normal Bankai/Shinigami power. Aizen was performing his Hollowfication experiments just so he could reach that state. Yes, Ichigo's true Zanpakuto is definitely a Zanpakuto on the brink of Transcendence after all he is a perfect hybrid of Hollow and Shinigami... Quincy too but it isn't needed to reach that state. That is why the initial plan of the Shinigami was to have Ichigo be the Soul King should the Soul King die in the TYBW arc. Also, Aizen and Kyoka Suigetsu are completely fused as of the TYBW arc. That's how Aizen was able to put Ywach under his hypnosis while still being sealed in his chair, only having one eye and his mouth free, AND doing it so Ywach wouldn't (and didn't) notice.

In that their weapons seem to actually become a part of and change them in some way. And not just simply change its own form or its wielders appearance (clothing wise,like how Ichigo's clothes change when he uses his bankai for example). The real Zangetsu is made up of two sides, a Shinigami Side whose Special ability is Hollow to completely Ichigo's body, practically giving him a Resurrection in Shikai, and the Quincy blade, which has not been fully explored, but theoretically works like a Quincy weapon on a scale dozens of times larger, bringing Reishi together to empower both herself and Ichigo.And Bankai unites these two completely opposite forces (Hollow and Quincy) in a single blade, merging the two naturally heterogeneous reitsus in a form of perfect balance, one that we never we witness the true power In my opinion, Ichigo's sword is necessary in the concept of the character himself, but what was missing was Kubo to develop this sword and show everything that it can really do, since the potential is practically unlimited. Theoretically, Ichigo could do everything for all races, synchronize everything in a naturally impossible way, and make everything possible with his Zampakuto. Zangetsu has a creative idea in the context that was added, what really lacked was the development of that idea.

Evolved Aizen wasn't even attempting to evade it. He literally stated himself there was no need to have his guard up. He basically intentionally let attacks hit him after his cocoon phase. A bit different from Mugetsu though. ichigo was clearly above him in power I don't think he could have dodged even if he tried.

Thus 1) He is Transcendant to Yhwach (non-Almighty), which THAT ALONE is enough to beat Yamamoto. 2) The Ink is just something else entirely, likely just a "form of concept" itself. As Ichibē, controls all "black" in the world. Which the heat of the core of the sun can't do anything to literal "concepts".

I love Shunsui's bankai. A tale of two lovers, first act, a man wounds his partner. Second act, the man feels so much remorse, it begins to manifest as a horrible disease. Third act: the pair make a suicide pact and jump into a river, however they survive. Final act: the man is so torn with guilt he pleads to his partner for salvation, and the partner agrees, by slitting the mans throat. Fuckin wow that is such an amazing and beautiful ability. Edit: Katen Kyokotsu and Nijigasumi are my fav Zanpakuto. I flippin love Nijigasumi, and turns out to be just about exactly like the one I thought up for my own lil fan fic, like 100 years ago lol Edit2: Black ants are actually pretty resilient. Most people already know that they can carry up to 10x their own body weight, because their lil muscles are fuckin extreme. Plus the exoskeleton shell around their body acts like body armor, n makes the lil buggers pretty tough. So to me, that should only make Yhwach only a little weaker, maybe, depends on his current strength lvl. I feel like it should make his body a lil more resilient, if ants were the same size as us, we'd be in trouble. Also if Yhwach weighs around 200 lbs we'll say, then he could easily lift up to 2000 lbs. The punching and swinging strength should also be scaled to that lvl of lift strength. A person sized black ant is NOT something you wanna mess with....

I always thought that mugetsu (or final getsuga tensho) wasn't only a zanpakuto skill per se. After the TYBW arc, it makes sense that mugetsu was a version of the Quincy Letzt still mixed with the shinigami powers. They both allow the user to just dump all their power into one massive attack which then makes the user loose all their powers after. I could be wrong though, awesome vids keep up the great work!

Disappointing in the sense that it's primarily imv down to the imposed time constraints Kubo was under - I can't imagine something as hyped as they were that he didn't have more to offer in terms of background and their capabilities. I hope the anime expands upon this greatly.

These points are not something the fans wanted from Kubo (like Ukitake's bankai), but rather something Kubo was working on by himself but never got the chance to incorporate it into the story: 1- Quincy medallions: the quincies never used them after the first invasion. 2- Blut Vene (and other quincy abilities): Ichigo used it in his first encounter with Yhwach, but never used it after. 3- Yama's stolen bankai: Yhwach never mentioned nor used it later 4- Hisagi's bankai: Kubo explicitly stated that Hisagi is working on his bankai during the first half of the arc. 5- Kira vs Lille Barro 6- The Five War Potentials: such designation implies they would unite together against someone. 7- Kyoraku vs Haschwalth 8- The Fullbringers: Kubo even showed Ganju with them, but they magically disappeared until the last chapters. 9- Nel: it was obvious Kubo was going somewhere with her. 10- Isshin & Ryuken: I would never believe their sole purpose was to deliver the silver arrow. Man, the animation team has a lot to work on!!! Hope they do Bleach justice

Or is it just that Ichigo, as a transcendent being, is much stronger (in terms of reiatsu) than Yamamoto. Because of this, I tend to rate Kyoko and Ichimonji higher, as there doesn't seem to be a reiatsu cap on what they can effect. Basically, if Tokinada could copy one and only one Zanpakto, what should it be? And I personally think Ichimonji wins that one.

For Ichibei, Aizen, and Kisuke, I think its important to remember that the swords and abilities in Bleech are reflections of the souls of the wielders at the end of the day. And as Shinigami evolve, as we saw with Aizen and Ichigo, the swords and their weilders actually start to merge once again into one being, the way things started out when the swords were merely asuechi. The swords and there wielders are and have always been a single being, creating zanbakto and the illusion of that split is about developing that latent potention, putting it in front of you, talking to it, training with it, fighting with it, learning from it, but really they are their blade, its the shinigami doing the things they do. Bearing that in mind, the weakness in Aizen's sword, of the hypnosis wearing when someone is touching it directly do in fact reflect Aizen, he's not someone that likes to fight directly, to take risks, to get his hands dirty, so that built in weakness is fitting of a character that would rarely strike a foe personally and would thus never have it become an issue. On the question of Ichibei and why bother having a bankai like that if the shikai is stronger in fights, again its about who Ichibei is, not every character's life goal is combat, his is his work and duty and renaming things is probably useful and theoretically a skill he had to build upon from his shikai. So, not all the swords are going to be suited for combat, and in fact many characters throughout the series can be seen admitting that their swords aren't suited for certain situations, and some characters rarely draw or release thier swords, if at all (eg. Shinji's bankai). Some more obvious characters that illustrate how a sword's abilities are just different sides of their wielder's character are Soifon, Yachiru, Hisagi, Gin, Urahara, Ikkaku, the list goes on. When it comes to Ichigo, we're told pretty concretely and several times that his Hallow and Shinigami powers were never seperate. He always thought of as seperate, even wished they were and wrestled with that, but they, his swords spirits have always been clear they are one and the same even merging at some point because Ichigo really wasn't getting it. Thus Getsuga Tensho is both a hallow and a shinigami ability. Ichigo is just Ichigo, all his powers come from him, even though they manifest from different sentient parts of his inner world and while he might not like Gran Rey Cero for example, its is still a fair part of his arsonal of techniques, as Ichigo's powers having sides to them reflects his inner conflicts about who he is, his quest for power, and his desire to protect others in a fair just way, as perfectly as Gin's powers involving poison, or Mayurii's involving tinkering with life. Given that...he can't beat Yama, or Ichibei, or Kenny... so I think he's placed him properly on this list nonetheless

Fascinating description on zanpakutos, really like the way you've described how they fit certain characters persona. Only thing i'd disagree on is where you said "getsuga tensho is a hollow and shinigami ability." I believe it is just a shinigami ability that he inherited from his father isshin. We've seen isshin use it before against aizen and the only reason ichigo's getsuga tensho is different is because his hollow powers are fused with his shinigami powers. Which in turn changes his getsuga to a black colour and makes his reiatsu signature closer to that of a hollow.

I look at Urahara’s Benihime as being about Reishi manipulation. For example his shikai allows him to manipulate the reishi either in his own body or in his immediate Vicinity making basic abilities such as a massive blast or defensive shield. His Bankai takes it up a notch and allows him to affect reishi in a wider area and in a more complex way, even manipulating the reishi In other people’s bodies if they are within his area of effect Just my thoughts on it

Bankai Special Ability: Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame has the ability to restructure anything it touches for both offensive and supportive purposes. Offensively, it can split open whatever is within its area of effect as if cutting with a knife. This "splitting" is similar to the act of dissecting something by cutting it open. Supportively, it can restructure something by stitching it back together; this can be used as a form of healing, such as when Urahara restored his eyes using this power. It also can be used as a way to bring something to an optimal working state by enhancing it, which Urahara used to overpower Askin Nakk Le Vaar by restructuring his arm to have greater strength. All uses of this are manifested in the form of cutting said objects into parts and then using stitches to sew the pieces back together.

(This is just what I think) :- I think in the fullbring arc when Ginjo gave all the other fullbringers power up,I think someone said Ichigo's Bankai is wore by the Ichigo.Hence Ichigo become his Zanpaktou that is why he can transform into a Vasto Lorde as the Zanpaktou spirit is a Vasto Lorde. Ichigo Zanpaktou is hollowfied rather than himself ,But since his mother was attacked by a hollow hence his soul also has Hollow traces. If Ichigo master's his Zanpaktou he can overwhelm any character in the whole series.I think if we get a extension to Bleach manga after the Time skip we will see the true ability,power and techniques of Zangetsu.

It would be a really insane plot twist if Ichigo’s “Vasto Lorde” form was actually his bankai since white ichigo is the actual zanpakuto spirit and his other bankai form is quincy related to which might explain the Getsugatensho being a ranged attack with two different styles. I like the fact that Kyoraku is almost not in control of his Zanpakuto, but the Zanpakuto controls him. Despite clearly being very experienced with it, Kyorakus sword seems very broken, but it requires the user meet many conditions, and the stronger the attack, the more difficult the condition. Kyoraku needs to be able to endure through the pain that his double edged Zanpakuto will deliver to him if he needs to kill his target.

Zanguetsu is ichigo's true zanpakutou. SO when he trows a cero that is his true power. What would like to see is what is his Vasto Lorde liberation because every vasto lorde has one. Also his Gran Rey Cero equivalent, the one he trew to ulkiorra wasn't a gran rey cero. As powerfull as it was it was only a normal cero...

Honestly thought the different cero types were a bit pointless. You had Gran Rey and Pescisa (spelling) which all espadas of a certain level should be able to use. But they just use normal ceros in almost every battle. They literally only differ in firepower. So why not just have them all just be called ceros, and just use them at whatever power level is appropriate. There's times in the series where this has already been explained when Grimmjow for instance didn't have enough time to fully charge up a cero to block Shinji's cero (another character who never uses that ability again...).

If we're talking about the novels, I definitely think Kenpachi Kuruyashiki 's zanpakuto definitely belongs in the top 10, maybe even the top 5. His power alone was enough to grant him an offer into the Zero Division, and his bankai has him summon a giant pair of jaws from the ground that devours everything it captures aside from Kuruyashiki himself. It's so strong that it's not only banned from use in the Seireitei, but has a 6 month cooldown between uses. Helps that even one of the most busted characters to ever grace Bleach in the novels, Azashiro (who also deserves a spot in the top 10 honestly) admitted that he would've lost horrifically if he faced Kuruyashiki's bankai.

If you recall it was a similar weakness to Tosen and during Aizen vs Yamamoto it was made apparent when Aizen stabbed him. Yamamoto just had enough experience to make the assumption.

Kinda, but Aizen's illusions were more like Shisui's Kotoamatsukami. Both of their illusions were powerful enough to manipulate their targets to the point where discerning what was real or not wasn't possible. You wouldn't know you were under an illusion, whereas Itachi practically warped reality under his illusions. Itachi's illusions were more about breaking down his victims within an illusionary reality, while Aizen's and Shisui's illusions were meant to flawlessly manipulate their targets without their knowledge.

Ichimonjis Shikai and Bankai aren’t really a “power up” of something, Ichimonjis ability is to literally give and remove names of something and both powers work in tandem, the ability to give names is more powerful as it can give anyone any power any “name”, think of it like this, Ichimonji probably invented the aspect of Shikai and bankai by removing the respective “sword” phrase and switching it with Zanpaktou, then proceeded to change the name of the swords ability to mean shikai and then removed the “Shi” with a “ban” to create a bankai, remember, Zankpaktou aren’t really just “battle swords” they are a tool for a shinigami to do their job which is destroy hollows and bring dead to the afterlife, maybe ichimonji can only change names by giving them new ones was ichibei invented the aspect of “power through names” in the first place and his brush is an extension of this ability

Yhwach was able to remove the name given because he has forseen the battle. Every power in the future yhwach sees won't hurt him or affect him. The thing about Zangetsu is that he is both Shinigami and Hollow, Ichigo's hollowfication is literally Zangetsu's power and it even allows Ichigo to use Ressureccion(confirmed by kubo) so all hollow techniques Ichigo uses are also Zangetsu's techniques, Zangetsu is a being that trancends the boundary of the races, it should be above even Ryujin Jakka.

He got really sick and as his condition got worse his schedule got even more strict and tight so he had to end up finishing the manga a lot sooner then anticipated so he could focus on his health. Hopefully with the anime coming back they will touch on some things that kubo wasn't able to touch on when he was sick and had to end the manga early. I hope this helps you understand a bit.

Furthermore because of his Bankai ''Uro zakuro'' being a permanently released Bankai. He didn't have much experience in using his Shikai and his weak Body wasn't fitting for a kenpachi either. So imo while using Bankai there is no way Zaraki could've beaten Azashiro, despite is overwhelming strength and spiritual Energy. Doesn't mean that Azashiro would effortlessly beat Zaraki, but I consider them an even match. There has to be a reason, why this man one shotted the 7th Kenpachi and couldn't be stopped by the Gotei 13 at hat point until Squad Zero did interfere and he surrendered.

I highly disagree with Hyorinmaru being that high on the list, you never once mentioned how Hitsugaya cannot be touched in his adult Bankai without severe if not fatal repercussions to his opponent (similar to Zanka no Tachi), nor his ability to literally negate other powers by freezing them (Hoffnung was negated). His adult bankai is essentially the Zanka no Tachi of ice with power negation of unknown upper limits on top of that.

I agree with you...kinda. To reach that state his bankai needs all three of those ice petals to melt. Meaning there’s a timer and we just don’t know how long or short it is. Not only that but I don’t think he’s ever shown winning a fight by himself even with his bankai. Out of all of the captins his most definitely lost the most with his ice doing little to no real freezing below maybe skin level until his maturation. Honestly I was more surprised to not see Ikkomikidomoe

Hitsugaya is too young to have a Bankai. It's more like the explanation for "Generation of Miracles" from Kuroko no Basket. His body isn't developed enough to handle his power. I even believe that his adult self version, is actually just the *minimum* age he needs to wield that power. Which means that he can possibly be even more powerful. I absolutely believe that when he is older/ in his physical prime - Hoyorinmaru will be the Ice equivalent of Yamamoto's Bankai. As of now, it is still a Bankai that is growing and not yet fully grown.

Yeah I agree with the above, While I do think it is slightly underrated on this list, it's fair to say Hitsugaya is really just held back by his age, and even then he's still one of the top 3 or 4 strongest captains. It's very clear that at the end of the day Hitsugaya will be the strongest Shinigami, alongside Kenpachi, and eventually he will be the next Captain Commander.

My fave thing about Nozarashi is actually how the word play/name correlates to the abilities. The meaning of Nozarashi is Exposed (bodies) in a field and has a motif to go with the meaning which is skulls, crossbones etc. Paired with Yachiru which means Eight Thousand Flowers and who wears a skull and crossbones hair clip you're then a body exposed in a field of eight thousand flowers. In turn Nozarashi strips Kenpachi of any defense and focuses only on attack, fully exposing him to the field of battle. Yachiru then gauges the amount of power Kenpachis body can hold and releases it like a blooming flower releases petals. Too fast and too much and damage occurs.

My rank is veeery different from Tommo's list. I tried to separate the pontential of the zanpakuto itself frow the power of its user: 1- Ryujin Jakka (No arguments needed). 2- Hyorinmaru (In my perspective, it is the ice counterpart of Ryujin Jakka. Hitsugaya probably will be at Yamma's level when he grows up). 3- Ichimonji (It can erase almost others zampakuto powers). 4- Kyoka Suigetsu (Supreme furtive zanpakutou). 5- Katen Kyokotsu (Very versatile. But I put it in this spot just because of its bankai. Death on sure). 6- Senbonzakura - (How you fight and win someone that can summon millions of mini blades that flys in the air? Yeah, its very difficult). 7- Sode no Shirayuki (Rukia's bankai is one-hit-kil). 8- Enrakyoten (It can mimic others zampakuto abilities but have some limitations). 9- Benihime - (In bankai form you really can't get close to its user). 10- Suzumuchi (Very few people could fight in a senseless place). 11- Wabisuke (I really wanted to put Kira's zanpakutou in the top 10. I love its ability). Notes: Zaraki is a monster and his bankai is still a mystery. Is it poweful or is just Zaraki that is powerful? Regarding Ichigo, I think we didnt see yet what the power of his zanpakuto truly is. Yes, some part is the hollow but, and the other? What is his shinigami zanpakutou ability?

Benihime is limited to Urahara own reaitsu, its main ability is to restructure anything within its area of influence, fits perfectly with urahara character as a Scientist/Biologist Hyogoku on the other hand main ability is to manifest desires around it, this can literally mean anything and everything, its power is limited to the Soul King because it was created from its essence/body parts. Urahara reaitsu is above average captain but still bellow that of Shinigami Aizen and Yamamoto much less even remotely close to Transcendent or Soul king tier.

Nah man, I think Ichigo should be lower like 9th or 10th place. It's not about how powerful the zanpakuto is, but how the shinigami utilized that power within that zanpakuto. It's true that zangetsu is really powerful but Ichigo never really used the full potential of that power. So I don't really think he should be ranked that high. Ichigo is just not really that shinigami who's intellectual enough to fully utilize that power, I mean let's be honest. Zangetsu just saves his ass like all the time.

What if the ability itself is that it’s literally able to be modified like it starts if as like just a regular sword but then it’s carrier has the ability to modify it because as far as we know mayuri’s Zanpakutō is the only one that can be modified

I still feel like we never saw ichigo’s true bankai cause the one consistent thing about his bankai is that it changes his form, his bankai isn’t just the sword it’s his clothes, he wears his power (his hollow form he took before activating it was caused by him forcibly agitating his hollow power). I mean considering that all the way up to that we found out that permanent release swords don’t exist (or as byakuya stated their understanding of it might be wrong) we could have been looking at ichigo’s shikai. Just a thought on it that maybe tensa zangetsu (heavenly chained cutting moon) is the name when his Quincy powers was restricted it, chaining them down, I mean kubo does like using names to make hints. Maybe his bankai was mugetsu (moonless sky), his dad stated that the attacks name was final getsuga. I don’t know I just feel like his 5th anniversary form in bleach brave souls feels like what his bankai should have been.

This was an awesome, awesome list, but my only gripe is probably Senbonzakura vs Hyorinmaru at 10 and 9. Granted they're both similar enough in terms of versatility that their positions really do make sense so I'm not too broken up about it, I just think the sheer destructive force of Senbonzakura in conjunction with that limitless potential for creative murderising puts it just a tad higher than Hyorinmaru. (but honestly, that's just me.)

I really think in what ive seen in your video's that Ichibei's bankai makes sense, since you stated that he names/forms zanpakuto's, so when he meets an broken (in any way) zanpakuto, he can take away its powers, and form it to a new power, maybe thats where his bankai originated from cause he probably made yamamoto ryaajinjaka he probably felt he needed more control over the powers over the zanpakuto, or maybe even later after seeing/hearing from Aizen his shikai or zanpakuto for that matter

I think urahara's in shikai allows him to reconstruct his reiatsu thus he can control density, speed, strength of his attacks to varying affects. This is why he tells yami that as long as he knows how the move is performed, he is able to mimic it like he does with the bala. His bankai allows him to control everything else

I think the new anime will give us more time with ichigo’s new bankai that we’ll be able to understand its powers better, but to my understanding the hollowness is fully part of his zanpakuto ability and it’s been shown through other characters that calling forth their bankai does change their physical appearance and I think that this is exactly that.

Sure, her Shikai is pretty bad, since anyone with even half decent speed can dodge her attacks, but her Bankai is pretty disgustingly broken and there is no counter to it that I could think off

one of the dumb things I remember is that when aizen stabs yamamoto and yamamoto says "I won't mistake the feeling about being stab" and I was like “umm, I didn't expect shinigami able to get the Alzheimer's disease" and yamamoto being able to tell the reiatsu is weird, because kyoka suigetsu also controls your reiatsu sensing ability

Awesome video! Ichimonji is my #1 pick. His Bankai always made sense to me. His Shikai is limited to being able to effect what he is cutting. Powerful sure, but Ichimonji's Bankai can write anything. He named Ryujin Jakka, giving it the power we see. Those are God of Creation level abilities! We never saw that level of creation on the page, but we can all agree he's super busted😂

Honestly Zangetsu should be higher because its not only his hollow and shinigami power, but also his royal quincy power (his mother being a direct descendant of Ywach) all working in tandem. His raw reiatsu was able to contend against Ywach's The Almighty reiatsu and was capable of damaging Ywach even with his eyes open, which is why Ywach prioritized breaking the sword, twice. However I do hope the anime adaptation redos almost every battle with Ywach in the blood war arc so that Ichigo's full power is actually shown. So I would say at least position 5 or 4, until we actually see what it can do I don't think it should be put much higher than that.

I do respect you as a content creator, and the amount of work you put in these videos is admirable. I very much think the world of Bleach, and the zanpakuto abilities are fascinating which is why I put this on in the first place. However I cannot for the life of me understand how you go about trying to power scale anything in this series. I got to the point were you ranked Ichigo's blade, and you went on about the various inconsistencies, and I feel like that's all the show/manga is; just an amalgamation of bad writing, plot holes and inconsistencies galore. I know this is three years later and I'm sure you've mentioned this in later videos, but Enra Kyoten does not copy the abilities of Zanpakuto that Tokinada is fighting, it copies the abilities of any Zanpakuto Tokinada knows about, just scaled up or down to his Reiatsu/Spiritual Pressure. For example, he copies Ryujin Jakka and Kyoka Suigetsu even though Yamamoto and Aizen are not present. Also, using multiple Zanpakuto abilities doesn't weaken the other ones (he uses at least 8 simultaneously, including Ryujin Jakka, Tensa Zangetsu, Kyoka Suigetsu, and others I'm forgetting). It's just a really broken Zanpakuto.

I think shirafude ichimonji could be used to also grant strength to people. If he could rename something to make it weaker, he might be able to grant strength to something with a new name. Like naming a lieutenant a captain or naming an adhuchas an arrancar. But who knows?🤷🏽‍♂️

Kaname Tousen’s Suzumushi is extremely powerful. His fight with Kenpachi was really out of character since it was plot armor that kept him killing him easily. Remember before he was even a captain he used his bankai to take down that whole investigative team.

Ehhhh I mean against really smart opponents like mayuri or urahara it's useless and against tanks like zaraki it's useless and if you touch it well there goes that. It's cool but it's weakness makes it flawed. Against yama let's say he'd just burn everything for miles and it wouldn't matter. Against hitsugaya he'd just get frozen he doesn't need senses. The powerful characters just area smash this thing. Even senbonzakura would blast the user to hell with an area attack. You take their senses but you still have to go attack them. If you can't get near them what does it do?

I would argue we actually see ichigos bankai the least. As other characters show not fully being properly aligned with your shikai can change it drastically. So as we never really see ichigos bankai utilized in Tybw we actually don't know what it can fully do.

23:55 Actually, Yamamoto is the one who figures out Kyokasuigetsu's weakness. He tanks a hit to get up close and ensure he can get a hit back, and Gin is watching the fight, so that's why Gin moves against Aizen right afterward. If Gin had known beforehand how to beat Kyokasuigetsu, he would have killed Aizen earlier. He was just waiting for an opening, and Yamamoto revealing how Kyokasuigetsu can be bypassed gave him that opportunity.
