Maybe I missed it, but I'm pretty surprised that the Black Panther soundtrack isn't even mentioned! It's like the only MCU movie (outside of Guardians) with memorable music. And Kendrick did it!!!

Hero by Nickelback was THE song for a lot of us 2000s kids they grew up on superhero movies, anime and video games. Like, the amount of AMVs and fan made music videos that use that song are INSANE. Look it up and you’ll find AMVs that go back to the early days of KZbin. It’s such a nostalgic song. lol

Underrated soundtrack, and a unique one too. I can't recall another soundtrack that pairs Hip Hop artists with Electronic/ Trip Hop artists.

Another really good album of its time was the Punisher 2004 (Thomas Jane one) some great metal songs on there! Bit of evanescence too on there well Amy Lee with Seether

It's really cool that you guys have discussed comic book movie soundtracks as it's really talked about. Outside of the list I've always really liked Face to Face by Siouxsie and the Banshees in Batman Returns and Set Me by Velvet Revolver in Hulk though those aren't full music inspired by soundtracks so then I'll also go with the soundtracks of Kick-Ass and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Fantastic video, mate. As awful as Daredevil (2003) is, it's soundtrack will forever hold a place in my heart and Wake Me Up by Evanessence will always be a meme. I would also put the soundtrack to James Gunn's Suicide Squad up there a long with Deadpool as both perfectly capture the tones of their respective films and are also able to highlight some of the sadder moments of each film by juxtaposing them against really upbeat songs. Deadpool in particular has a lot of really fun original songs that captures the absurdity and zaniness of the film and the character. Also, ACDC in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 is a massive win.

@@Indigo1998 I mean....it is 🤣. Just kidding, to each their own. The fact that it reminds me of 2003 is precisely why I don't like it 🤣. It just feels edgy without actually saying anything. It just all feels so empty and hollow. The characterization of Matt is all just surface level stuff like he's angry and feels kinda guilty. It pales in comparison to the Netflix series.

What a great Video :D Many fond memories with all the albums you two mention in your list. However I was kinda surprised that there was no mention of the original Batman Prince Album when you talked about Batman Forever. For me the Prince Music was synonymous with Batman Movies for a long time. I remember back in the 90s when the "Batman Quadrilogy" was aired on german TV the TV Trailer always featured the Batdance from the Album for all 4 movies and for me that song was the sound of the movies ^^ But everybody has a different taste and I still enjoyed your list and Top10 picks :)

The two Smashing Pumpkins songs I think are the best on that Batman Forever soundtrack and the whole album is great but to me, I unironically think Prince’s Batman soundtrack is reigns supreme. Prince could be pretty camp but not in an embarrassing way and I feel Batman 89’ walks that like of dark and brooding like the Frank Miller comics and campy akin to the pre Denny O’ Neil Batman. That album captures the films tone perfectly for me.

I’m surprised that the Fantastic four (2005) Soundtrack isn’t here, It’s probably one of the most interesting superhero film soundtracks since it not just mixes around popular music genres of that time. But also has a song by Japanese Rock band Orange Range which in my opinion makes it stand out from the rest.

It’s a musical Score, but Hans Zimmer’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 is severely underrated, and I speculate in the coming years, people are going to start recognizing it . That said, the film also had “It’s On Again” by Alicia Keys with the badass intro from Kendrick Lamar, and the corny, yet endearing “Here” by Pharrell Williams.

Even though I am apart of the Spiderverse generation but I do see the sound of Spiderman being in the 2002 soundtrack. Plus Spawn The Album is the greatest soundtrack ever made.

Thing is, Blade's impact on the superhero genre isn't towards the audience like Spider-Man or X-Men because people identify it as a vampire movie more than a superhero one, but it's impact is towards Marvel itself. There was that time where Marvel went bankrupt so they chose to sell movie rights to different studios. And guess who's the first to become successful and jumpstart Marvel: Blade
