But for its time it was pretty forward having a main character who was Hispanic, plus all the black characters, so I can't nag on the cartoon too much.

I think its dumb too which is why the movies simplifies by saying she's just telekinetic and telepathic until they extended it to reality warping again. I knew Scarlet Witch had to be number one on here; I've always liked this character, despite the writers never being able to decide on what they were exactly; but their constant screwing with the character and her backstory (she's a witch! She's a mutant! She's both! She's neither!), made it too frustrating to read her stories eventually.

Storm should have been on this list, people think that her powers is the control over the weather, when really that is just a byproduct of her abilities. Her mutant ability is to sync to the environment, which taps into the natural energies of that location and she can manipulate that energy is many many different ways. On earth the most common way she does this is by controlling weather patterns, and she moves and shifts them from one place to another from all over the planet. In other dimension she has synced to the power of elemental gods, In space she controlled the electromagnetic spectrum, in Mikhail Nikolaievitch Rasputin dimension she used her powers to adapt the the strange environment and gain control over it. Whenever she leaves the environment she was sync to, she has to reconnect to it in order to regain control over those energies. Often times writer will just write her as being able to throw Lightning bolts and create wind, and she is so much more than that.

I agree She manipulates the natural elements of her environment and uses them to her will but it often is only shown as her creating storm but she can manipulate environmental aspects of her surrounding on earth she control aspects like wind, lightning, temperatures, coldness, magnetic spectrums, clouds, tornadoes, rock slides and etc she control all aspects of her environment but prefers to show that ability by creating storm like effects

Krys Heywood actually she doesn't try to just control the elements. When Storm uses her powers, her eyes turn into light blue. She sees everything as energy and her being the pattern she manipulates those energies, That's what creates elemental phenomenon.

First he could just create ice, then control it, then control all water in any state and then it became control all heat in any way he likes. He's now an omega level mutant because he can control water at a molecular level and bend the laws of thermodynamics to his will. Dazzler could further develop her abilities into just complete control over all aspects of light and sound. She could very easily become an omega level mutant if the writers wanted her to

My favorite Tick episode is The Tick vs. Filth. Do you remember the movie Mystery Men? Several of the heroes had powers no one understood. Invisible Boy only turned invisible when no one was looking. Blue Raja was an expert with dinner forks. Mr. Furious only got strong when he got mad (a low budget Hulk). The Bowler was known for wielding a bowling ball possessed by the ghost of her father. The Shoveler was a miner gone wild. Finally, who can forget the Spleen? His power - high potency, directional flatulence - was a specialty no superhero team could use. Except of course, the Mystery Men.

He can fly, has nine senses, has superhuman strength, endurance and speed, is a shapeshifter, he can become intangible and/or invisible, has X-ray Vision and most important of all: he has telepathic abilities. He can read minds or just link minds together to communicate telepathically with all the minds linked. He has not Supermans ability of superhuman breath or super hearing and he is not bulletproof by standard. Although he can change the atoms inside his body to be more dense... or whatever... it's his shapeshifting power that he uses to become bulletproof.

A couple of these superheroes you mentioned should go under the category powers that you should not underestimate. ie: Matter Eater Lad... there was an old cartoon Voltron knockoff called Mighty Orbots; one of the characters on show was a robot named Crunch who reminded me a lot of Matter Eater Lad when it came to their power sets. Like Crunch, one of the things that Matter Eater Lads should be able to do with his powers is create an infinite amount of power; which in a case of emergency he could use to reenergize himself, power / reenergize others (I'm talking even Superman level others), power cities and with some of the things they have said he has / are able to consume; he may be able to even power planets / planets size things.

They should make his powers be more like Occam's razor, where the smartest characters in comics are gathered to figure something out and he just cuts through to the answer which is always simpler than what the smartest collectively were thinking (like that guy in World War Z who has a plan for zombies because his country paid him to just come up with plans for the most unlikely scenarios that were still technically possible).

I've always wondered: what happens if Rogue drains a mutant who's ability involves separate "appendages", Like Maggot or Multiple Man, what happens to the belly slugs or clones if the ability wears off before she can re-absorb them?

Jubilee is awesome she doesn't use her powers at her full potential because she's afraid of what she could do. They forgot to mention she also has the ability to hide herself from telepaths mentally.

Storm should definitely be on here, her powers are unknown, people don't know she can control weather on other planets, Control the temperature of living things bodies, freeze the moisture in your lungs, breathe in space, etc ...

Shocked that you didn't bring up the theory that Squirrel girl is actually some half human half reality warping celestial without knowing it. She's just really into Squirrels so she gave herself these powers and has the ability to beat everyone and ANYONE with these damn Squirrels.
