Michael, at first I just remember something about glasses, which is dumb, since I don't think Tina wears them... OK, my memory is wonky too! :0) But yes, it was great that Tina came back to do that. Side note... I do remember people who were lifelong Republicans voting for Obama, who we didn't know a lot about yet, over McCain who was this man with a strong record, known ability to work "across the aisle" , his war service, etc for one reason. Sarah Palin. Watching McCain's funeral this year, I remembered how people were all positive he would die in office, and we'd be stuck with President Palin. Not to bash Obama at all, but I wonder where we would be if McCain had won. Pretty sure no Trump.

Background about #1: Mike Myers had been spoofing his then mother-in-law, who is a big fan of Streisand. And, it so happened, she was in attendance of this skit. One of the first ones I remember seeing (and especially enjoying) is on the 1993 episode that Bill Murray hosted. David Spade was doing his Hollywood Minute segment during Weekend Update, at one point mocking Steve Martin's Leap of Faith movie. Then Steve Martin shows up and convinces David to leave. Then he sits down in the same chair as a picture of David Spade appears as Steve mocks him for having no career and making fun of people with real careers.

Art Garfunkel. In an episode host by Paul Simon, there was a skit where Paul could remember someone who attended a concert; 4th row, left of center stage, wearing a red blouse. Right? He could remember someone who, one time, drove by his tour bus and waved; you were in a convertible Mustang, a '66 I believe. You were with your wife. I know she was your wife because of the matching wedding rings. But when Art walked into the skit, Paul could not remember who he was. It was a very funny bit.
