I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

The solo survivor really is the ultimate survivor. I mean the very nature of the group makes even the least capable player able to survive. Going it alone only brings strength and stability to your skills and technique. We also know how to prioritize, which means we can delegate effectively, if put into a team setting.

You forgot to list the pvp Bob whose heart is in the right place but unfortunately their defining feature is taking your hard earned kits and dinosaurs and consistently donates them back to the enemy.

Firstly, Thank you very very much Raas for picking this suggestion! It truly made my day seeing it get picked and I loved going through and seeing everyone's suggestions and picks! So thank you all to everyone as well! A bit at heart, I do wish the builder got a bit higher on the list. I know everyone has different play styles, either on pve or pvp, solo, or with others. But builds can be very important. Either from the dino gateway wall just to protect your dinos and stuff from the wildlife outside, to the heavily fortified and protected on all angles base of metal safes and turrets, or to the aesthetically pleasing builds. (Aesthetics all the way in my opinion). Building in of itself is a grind and a horror to deal with on Ark. The builder can be the grinder for resources as well if they are not in a tribe. Those resources for those kinds of builds take soooooo much. The builder is also the most likely member to have most of their points set into weight. Meaning they can carry the most of the resources in larger amounts than any other tribe role. A helpful hand to come save you when you and your tamed dinos are overflowed with items and resources, perventing you from moving any step forward. A pack mule perhaps, but very helpful. The amount of times i was called upon to help my tribe mates. "What can i help you carry?" Lol i love it. As well as the unfortunate struggles of dealing with the building mechanics in Ark. Oh, you want this triangle roof to place like the others in this row? Oh, well it won't work just because. You want to have a flat floor foundation? Oh, well you'll have to deal with pillars and roofs method for fourty minutes and maybe not even get it perfect. Should've just built on flatter ground.... (I truly hope building on Ark 2 is better) Building in Ark can be the least relaxing, most frustrating process. But in the end, when the build all comes together, it's worth it. The build is amazing, it looks great, and it's functional in any normal capacity. (My castle may cause lag but it's gorgeous). Jack of all Trades I agree to be the best. I myself am technically one. For the longest time I had to be. I was doing literally everything on my own, which was completely fine. A little lonely, but every now and again, I find myself wanting to go back for one play for a few hours. It's nice because you can just focus on you and your dinos and whatever you feel like doing in that moment. Want to relax and just do some simple tasks around the base? Take care of your dinos, they fed? Do some resource gathering? Go ahead. Want to explore and tame something you don't have yet? Go ahead. Want to take on a real challenge and take on the biggest and baddest. Go for it! A jack of all trades is perfect for a solo play. But if you have more that one Jack of all trades in a tribe, it could go both ways. Either you get twice as much done. Or, one would get everything done before the rest of the tribe has a chance to blink and won't get to experience much or help out. A Jack of all trades is perfect for solo. But I'm not sure I would recommend a Jack of all Trades for tribes. If everyone can have their parts to help out and have fun, that is perfect. This was a truly awesome video! I have always been curious everyone else's preferred way of playing, especially their roles taken in tribes. Thank you Raas again! And Thank you Everyone! 8:42 I’ll just post my suggestion from the latest news video. A top ten of real world prehistoric creatures people want to see in Ark 2? It be interesting to know what completely new creatures the community wants. Rules should be that no creatures already in game should apply, just completely new extinct creatures that didn’t manage to make the cut the first time around. And as to be expected, only prehistoric creatures, no fantasy ones. Also, better time then ever since in the stream Ced briefly mentioned how they’d like to do more community type votes/events in the future. To further the rules just a bit, things that are coming to Ark 1 but still aren’t in it yet like the carchar shouldn’t count for votes since it of course will be in Ark at some point. Just strictly new prehistoric creatures the community would want to see in Ark 2 that haven’t appeared before. I think this list would be interesting, since it gives the developers an idea of what the community wants to see in the sequel, and in general it’s usually interesting to see such a variety of suggestions for such a big field. Plus it lets us hear Raas summon his inner paleontologist and struggle to pronounce creature names(no hate Raas lol it happens to all of us).

I'm more of a masochistic solo. I like to try to survive in gritty situations, like starting off in the desert, tundra, or volcano areas. I find it enjoyable to be the solo member of the tribe whose base is advancing the fastest even though I'm in the harshest of conditions

@@timeshark8727 good response I'll respect that. I feel the same way 14k hours later. I'll never forget my first alpha tribe. I learned so much. Then my first mega tribe made the alpha tribe seem like bobs. Then you take those farming strats and pvp metas and cheese raid techniques to solo and start having real fun. I know tons of people who can out farm and out pvp 4-6man tribes. Get more done in a fraction of the time 😆

@@gdbve3r Its very rare that I do anything regarding pvp. The servers I've been on generally (almost all private servers) didn't have the population for anything serious, it all gets a bit more personal when there's only 15 of you on the ark. I'm more of a builder, tamer, or breeder regarding any type of specialty. My most recent server had me starting out in a group, then realizing I was doing _EverYtHInG_ led me to wander off and do my own thing again for a while... before joining up with them again to run some bosses together. Or rather, to carry them through the boss fights. You'd be amazed how many people don't realize that Yutys and daeodons are important/useful. The best part of being solo is that I don't need to farm like a mad man or fix things that other people mess up. Just going out with an argy and a harvester a couple of times a day is enough for most needs. I watched a lot of videos before starting to play myself, things like Neebs and Ras and Phlinger etc. I think that's why I already knew a lot of tricks before starting... then face-rolled through the rest rather awkwardly for the first few weeks of playing. I'm sure that I'd need to learn a lot if I joined a pvp server though. The entire way of building is different when you need to worry about raiding rather than appeasing your own ocd... and maybe Gigas would be more than a disappointment.

@@timeshark8727 ooo ya pve vs pvp is very different in all aspects. I see the reasons people have for playing both. In pvp your forced to be as fast and efficient as possible. Early and mid game are basically non existent and it's a rush to tek. Check out some of my vids if your Interested. Im mostly a jack of all for the most part, not particularly good at everything, but not a total noob either, although, I do consider myself a sub category of the breeder that I call, the babysitter, a survivor with unnaturally high lvls of maternal instinct towards the offspring of the tribe, and do everything in there power to make sure the troughs and maewings are filled to the brim before the eggs even hatch, and make sure that no unintentionally infant deaths are ever seen in that tribe log...that gives me a idea for a suggestion, why not ask around and then find the top 10 sub categories of survivor types

I'm a jack of all. Taming? Know it, done it. Breeding? You need me to do it? Got it covered while we wait for the breeder. Grinder? Hell freaking yeah. Love that stuff! Building? Yep, I'm there. Stroage organization/hording? I have 20 Inventory Dump chests, don't touch my storage chests. Need to grab something? Oh that that on Floor 17, give me a moment. Scouting? Always looking and checking things out on meat runs to keep the fridges stocked. Jack of all is truly a great survivor. You pretty nuch become a jack of all playing solo or in a VERY small tribe. Started with 2 people and now very happily added 3 more people. (Appreciate you Empress, Rava, and Symbiote. You guys rock. ♡)

I'm a sole survivor but in tribe I'm the tamer/breeder with a bit of clown thrown in. My friend is the builder/looter so we had a great dynamic. One of our other guys was the scout/resource grinder. And everyone else was kinda just doing what was needed since they weren't as experienced.

My friend group likes to refer to my character as the fish reborn as a human because i (a newer player who was told i wasn't gonna get help with stats) put oxygen as high as my speed. So im able to swim down deep without a oxygen tank and get oil nodes that are deep down

Idk I think all of us can be classified as The Grinder, despite being other "classes" first and foremost. There is no escaping the grind. Sure, it can be a pain if you are in a hurry, or excited to do the thing you are grinding for, but it can also be quite cathartic and leisurely.

I almost exclusively play solo but on the odd occasion that I've played in a tribe I always end up as the breeder due to my compulsion to create ridiculously OP dino's. I normally do some taming as well but that's usually just if I'm not happy with the base stats that i'm working with.

I can do all of this except building. Building is my weakness. My building level is not going beyond making around 6 foundation as a base, making traps or breeding towers. I am really bad at building, I just gave up and not even placing ceilings and walls anymore.
