My truck is having these symptoms rough idling, sluggish and jerky acceleration, truck shakes, also when I turn on the ac full blast it gives the truck like a boost almost and the truck sounds a lot more steadier like it wants to turn on but when the ac is completely off it’ll sound like it wants to cut off and sounds weak, it’ll also sound like it has a cam on it.

My cra doesn't idle...it always goes off when I stop or slow down.....the RPM goes too low and it dies

Guys I finally found how to fix rough idling in your car when jerky or shaky

2001 Grand Prix with a 3.1-liter motor, started idling high after good and warmed up. No codes at the time. When motor would idle too high, 4T65E trans would shift super late under light throttle. About 25 MPH and 2,500 RPM before it would hit 2nd. gear. Was OK the next day. 3rd. day, high idle and late shift again! This time the check engine light did come on. Code P0121. Scanner TPS angle percentage at idle shows 0 sometimes, and sometimes 0.39% and ~ 100% at WOT. One time while sitting there idling fine, ~ 700 RPM, all at once the idle kicked up to ~1,300 RPM all by itself. I looked at the scanner, now TPS angle percentage went up to 2.75%. From my readings it looks to me like the sensor IS receiving the 5V reference, and my ground in good, and my reference voltage is changing and being sent back to the ECM. My voltmeter is at my buddy's garage right now, so I could not do the voltage testing at the TPS connector, as you have outlined. I'm ready to take a chance based on my findings, and just install a new TPS. What do you think? Reply

The truck also sometimes turns on if I’m lucky but if not I have to tap the gas pedal a few times then itll turn on but it would sound like it wants to cut off

What if its revving loud but engine and transmission dont show bad?

2001 Nissan maxima 243k miles original TPS. car wouldn't run as soon as it was put in Drive it would stall after it was warmed up. additionally I disconnected TPS then it would idle and run but high rpm, idle at 1800rpm. it was good enough to move the car to safety . I highly suspect this is the problem vs the Idle Air Control (IAC) there are no DTCs codes. your thoughts. to me it seems to have at least 3-4 of the symptoms.

My Nissan Nerva 2000, started dropping its idle slowly over a cupule of days to a point where i had turn up the idle screw back up to 700 RPM, when the car is warmed up after driving for about 20 minuet's it would give a bit of a misfire while siting at a red light but then come good on acceleration, it only happens when the car is warmed right up..? No vacuum leaks, Throttle body is clean, Could it be the idle air control valve..? Or a faulty TPS..? My car has a 14 pin port, I've been to three mechanics for a diagnostics test and they don't have the right scan tool for my year model, And it never fails when a mechanic takes the car for a test drive, Well the bloody thing doesn't miss a beat I guess I will have to try changing both.. And no check light comes up on the dashboard..

Scan it. There are lot of components in car that can make it hiccups, like bad egr, misfiring
