Tauer fragrances have second cousins twice removed but absolutely no siblings. No dupes are possible. What an extraordinary, unique house Tauer is. It's the best house to sample for someone who feels thoroughly underwhelmed and jaded and wants someone to come along and rock their world, pick them up and drop them somewhere else. I deliberately typed 'dropped somewhere' and not 'transported' because the effect is so immediate, otherworldly and violently sudden. What a wildly psychedelic experience Tauer is. Reputation so well deserved.

You are spot on with the number one. L`Air du Desert Marocain is my favourite I always used to get confused with the versions. Finally realized the extract version is the best and lasts long on my skin too..

Hello my fellow fragrance addicted friend. I have never bought a Tauer. Have just about everything from Juliette has a Gun because rose is my favorite note. I want to get a few Tauers and this review was excellent. Was going to go in other directions to get beyond rose but with your review one of the roses will probably be my first buy. Couple days ago I tried a sample of LDDM , before work I sprayed it on me, straight away I loved it. Got to work and even though everyone wears masks 30 minutes into my shift a lady walked behind me as I was sitting down at the computer. She said that I smell really nice and she kept complimenting me, that was it for me ! Later in the evening I ordered it. To me this fragrance makes me feel like a character out of Arabian Nights books(ali baba), feels like riding a camel over dunes of sand and arriving into a persian market. Ah what a fragrance :)) one of the best I've tried

Hi Sebastian, I started watching your videos recently as I decided to make that change from the one perfume I had been wearing for years. I have been getting lots of samples based on your reviews but none suited my skin as well as Andy Tauer fragrances. I am buying two tomorrow (already waiting for me in our local nieche store) L'EAU and Un Rose Chypreé. L'EAU is so clean on me, it is like having crisp white shirt. Un Rose Chypreé develops into Danish Cinnamon Buns with Lemon Icing Sugar topping on me, delicious. Could not decide between them, both it is. All your fault LOL. I love all the interviews with Andy also, he seems like a very nice person and his blog was a great read. I will need to taste more of Tauer Perfumes! Dangerous though, I might like all. I keep watching your videos, I especially enjoy the educative ones. Thanks Sebastian.

I have lots of samples from many places, and keep coming back to Tauer--think I've caught the Andy Tauer bug. My first bottle purchased was PHI Une Rose De Kandahar, which I love, and Andy's personal note received with the shipment from Switzerland and additional samples are great. He is such an obviously hardworking individual, and I enjoy his blog where he shares what he's been up to. Such a pro and so relateable! Next on my wishlist is Au Coeur Du Desert (prefer to LDDM after comparing performance on my skin), and after that Une Rose Chypree, which I fell in love with as a very classy fragrance with an amazing scent lingering in the mid and base notes all day long. L'Eau is beautiful for summer. I see that you have reviewed Tauerville fragrances (haven't yet watched, just looking at your videos link above) and am hoping that you will rank the Tauerville line like you did for the regular Tauer lineup here. Today I am wearing Rose Flash to evaluate, and boy oh boy does that project as a sparkly and unique rose scent. I really like Vanilla Flash, and perhaps that is my favorite Tauerville fragrance. Incense Flash actually smells to me a bit like LDDM and Au Coeur, not the type of incense I was expecting. Amber Flash seems solid and subdued, good for days when one doesn't want a particular note to draw attention, just cozy amber. I have to spend more time to evaluate Fruitchouli Flash and Tuberose Flash.

Had a sample of the PHI Une Rose de Kandahar and I really liked it. Surprised my husband last Christmas with a bottle of Au coeur du Desert. Such an awesome scent. I have Vanilla Flash from the Tauerville line and it is gorgeous. Such an in depth interpretation of Vanilla. Not nearly as basic or "flat" as other Vanilla scents. Great video. Thanks for sharing

LDDM is one of my holy grail fragrances, so I'm dying to get my nose on Au Coeur Du Desert. I've smelled L'Eau, PHI Une Rose De Kandahar, and Sotto La Luna Tuberose, but I haven't tried the others. I absolutely love the DNA of Andy Tauer's fragrances. He's like my fragrance spirit animal!

Haven't tried sampled the Tauer house yet but how does LADDM compare to Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan? For myself personally, Ambre Sultan is incredible, rich and thick and dry.

Thanks for the top ten video for Tauer, one of my very favorite houses! I might change the order around a bit, PHI #1, Incense Rose #2, maybe Incense Extreme #3, Orange Star #4 and it gets foggy after that! The new Cedar Ride room spray is this fantastic, soft, heart of cedar scent, I think it would make a nice skin scent too! Marco Island, FL

I picked up a generous decant of Au Coeur........wow.........amazing...all that I like in a great amber.....and it lasts forever..I also picke up Byerley from PDM...love it...Im not a huge vetiver lover and only have TF Grey Vetiver..but this one has enough going on in the backround to balance the vetiver ..which isnt too dry..so the balance is amazing...........love it...We have sim tastes but for your love of patchouli..and gournand..I like woody/resinous/semi dry ambers..not into fruity or gourmands...Thanks for your reviews

You really nailed the description of Incense Rose, it does have a fizzy kind of cola vibe at the start. I actually think this would have been better named Incense Clementine or even Orange Star instead of Orange Star, the rose is very light for me and more of a support than a main player. In dry down, it reminds me of a very well made Old Fashioned cocktail (with orange bitters and zest). Great frag, as is ACDD.

Omg. I would love a sample set of this. It's not easy to try it where I live. I love comparing a single note like rose among different perfumes. It would be even more interesting to try it with roses from a single nose. It's hard to believe L'air... is EDT because it lasts forever on my skin and is a beast. I can't believe I haven't tried Lonestar Memories yet. I love tough guy leathers-jackets, worn boots, truck interiors, etc. Less interested in briefcase, suedes and hard sleek leathers. It's so interesting to me that all of those forms of leather are possible in fragrance.

LOVE PHI. as you stated, it's a different take and so flirts, albeit abstractly, with a different take on gourmand. I'm so glad you made this video! Andy Tauer is one of the most interesting, and one of the best modern perfumers. I have only ever had the chance to sample a few, and of course am most familiar with L'air du desert marocain, so I guess that would be my favorite, a masterpiece really. And I LOVE L'eau! Do people know about these? I feel like Tauer is more obscure, even though it's been around for awhile and a good amount of releases. Would love to sample these thank you for the giveaway! I have seven (7) Tauerville fragrance but, believe it or not, I don't own a single Tauer fragrance. I've loved the ones I've sampled (loved the basic DNA) but I just don't crave wearing them that often (i.e., finding an occasion to wear them) so I'm okay with my decants for now. Regardless, I'm most interested in owning bottles of Lonestar Memories and L'Air du Desert Marocain or Au Coeur du Desert sometime down the road. Enjoyed. I would love to win a sample set of each one of these little gems. Cheers!
