We know more about space than our own ocean and that should be enough to tell you there’s more in the deep deep depths

"They even found an elk antler axe, how epic is that, that's some Elder Rings kind of stuff. That's some good loot" the things you say make me chuckle, but this was 👌😸 definitely laughing out loud. Maybe the squid graveyard is like turtles and salmon returning to certain locations to have their children. I assume there's cannibalism? Seems like smart recycling, starting out life in the deep sea, and putting the energy left of those who came before them.

Could the deep coral reefs been formed during times when the earths sea levels were much lower?
@silentcall1623

It's an interesting thought but wasn't earth more submerged in water way back then than it is now? I could be wrong but I thought that was something I learned in school once
@MwbIII1
@MwbIII1 2 жыл бұрын
@@silentcall1623 Much of the present day evidence indicates that prior to the younger dryas period roughly 12k + years ago that sea levels were lower by as much as 400 feet. Some of the strongest evidence is the ice core samples taken from the summit of the Greenland ice sheet which is a 2 mile deep sheet of ice that was cored through. The researchers studied the O2 isotope levels present as a proxy to temperature change over the past 100k years. Their findings present a relatively accurate timeline(with in a couple decades) as to when and how fast the catastrophic changes occurred. Many contribute the two massive warming periods/melting period around 14 BP(meltwater pulse A1)and 12 BP(roughly)(meltwater pulse 1B) to be caused by a high energy event, potentially an asteroidal impact. It is estimated that this extreme swing in temperature (average ambient temp increase of 18 degrees Fahrenheit) took place nearly instantaneous and that the transition from glacial to interglacial had a lagging effect. During this period sea levels would have increased rapidly due to the glacial meltwater. Back to my original comment…my thinking was this could be the cause of these deep coral reefs they are discovering. What I find extremely fascinating are the entire city’s being discovered under the sea water….. Heracleion off the coast of Egypt is a good example.
@Leavemealoneheh

@silentcall 16 Earth was more submerged, but that was after the ice age, when all the ice caps melted the ocean raised around 400 metres or feet (I'm not sure) so yeah

If I remember correctly the canons in the Vasa ship weren’t the only things that were too heavy, the statue-like things outside were also very heavy and unnecessary, it was only there for looks and also one reason that the ship sank. Some of the people who passed were crushed by the canons as they weren’t secured enough and they couldn’t get out because the canons were so heavy. Fortunately most people who were on the ship survived but there were about 20 remains found of people who passed. I read this in school some time ago so I’m not 100% sure. Not important but I’ve seen the ship and it’s huge! And very beautiful, it’s being well kept in the Vasa museum in Stockholm Sweden along with other cool things.
