I lived in Manitoba most of my life. In Northern, Central, and Southern Manitoba Canada and never ever heard of any kind of Wendigo in Manitoba anywhere. North Western Ontario yes, here? No. Odd. My now late Dad and I used to watch the Northern Lights. He would always whistle at them and say, " See them dance?" But further North, a family friend who is Native, pulled me inside one night because they believed if the Northern Lights came close that something in them would take people. He was very nervouse about it. Took my joy out of lookiñg and whistling at them, as around him, the Northern Lights seemed to come closer. 😲 💯🇨🇦🤔

@@ORIGINALhamsterbait The myth about Northern Lights? I truly thought that was a Viking myth and the Valkyries would collect fallen warriors to fight.... Our family friend was the first I'd heard of anyone who was scared and had a story behind his reason lol..... And only heard about the Viking myths about 20 years ago.....

As strange as the Montauk monster looks, it is nothing more than a bloated dead raccoon. Why does it not look quite right? Because it is bloated and the fur has fallen off in the ocean. Why do the front paws look like hands? Have you ever seen a raccoon? Racoons have very human like hands. Why does the face look like it has a beak? It honestly doesn't, the nose is worn off and the skin around the mouth is pulled back from drying, the teeth do in fact match with racoon teeth, the lower "beak" is actually a tooth on the bottom jaw. Why do the eyes look white? Because that's what happens when eyes of land creatures are exposed to water for a long period of time after death. The size, shape and the few patches of fur that are still there, do match with what you would find with a dead raccoon that's been floating in the water. And believe me, I was one who thought this thing was some kind of government experiment, until months ago when I saw a dead raccoon on the shore of Nova Scotia which looked a lot like this, but with a lot of fur left. I was under the impression that this is larger than it actually is. I was very mistaken. Photos can be deceiving without alternate angles and objects for size reference.
