I live near M&D’s and I can tell whoever wrote this list has never been. It’s totally run down and has barely any rides now, and even before it never deserved to be called a theme park! It’s an embarrassment.

@@lfctillidiee6723 blackpool spanks alton towers nowadays. hex, duel and ripsaw are gone, so it's just kiddie's rides plus 7 coasters, the minecart, sonic spinball and rubber dingy rapids (which is now on ultra slow mode and they got rid of the water guns). flatrides for flatrides, blackpool sweeps now with the ice blast and red arrows waters for waters, since alton towers destroyed the log flume, valhalla beats rubber dinghy rapids (doesn't even get you wet) weird rides for weird rides, blackpool wins with the ghost train and steeple chase vs... nothing??! scenery is up to whether you prefer the aesthetic of the beach and dangerous rusty looking coasters or the gardens and plasticy dioramas of alton towers so all that's left for alton are the coasters. but honestly? I would rather ride the variety of The Big One/Infusion/Avalanche/Grand National/Icon/The Big Dipper/Revolution than Air/Nemesis/Wickerman/Rita/Thirteen/Oblivion/Smiler. Honestly probably the most unique ride at alton towers is Oblivion and it's over in 30 seconds. but I understand if someone prefers the alton towers coasters. parks aren't just coasters though, blackpool is a great day through and through

I remember Thorpe Park used to also have a farm, which visitors would get there by boat, that or train across the surrounding water and now that attraction has been closed since 2006

Just a tad offended that my childhood outing wasn’t here “adventure island” so iconic for Essex kids and they always enjoy themselves and all the kids entertaining them and it dosent cost much such a good quality local theme park!!

Shame pleasure wood hills Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and Drayton Manor aren’t on the list especially Drayton Manor since it’s the home of Thomas Land all around Thomas the tank engine and friends from the tv series and Reverend Wilbert Awdry’s railway series books located on the fictional British island of Sodor

For Blackpool pleasure Beach, I deffintley recommend. The ques might be long but the rides are deffintley worth it. And also, there not as scary as the look! (especially the big one! )

. The Edge is not a rollercoaster it's a zamperla disko coaster which is a flat ride despite it's name having coaster in! . That forest park isn't a theme park so I think Drayton Manor should have been put on the list as it's definitely a theme park compared to the forest park and M&D's tbh

I guess you don't know how good Drayton Manor is since Lopping Group joined and helped Drayton. Very well themed across the park. It also has the best children's Thomas Land area (imo)! It has a good selection of rides for everyone and not to mention Shockwave being the UK's only stand up coaster with a zero g roll. They're even getting a new "family, thrill" coaster which will contain a lift and launch. A lot of us enthusiasts would have Drayton Manor higher than M&D's Scots Theme park, Gulivers Theme parks and Blackgang Chine (in your list). Can I mention that New Forest Water Park isn't a "THEMED" park, it's more water based park.

Thorpe Park really does not deserve to be number 2, don't get me wrong they have a lot of good roller coasters but the park as a whole is not an enjoyable time, Alton Towers and Chessington are great because they have a much wider range of rides and nicer environments
