Thank you so much for this informative video. I didn't know that about the pensions - we will contribute around 6% more but current pensioners will only take out around 3% more - highly injust. I'm a freelancer and honestly, this is starting to get really painful. The pension system needs a complete overhaul. I've heard the Austrian model is pretty effective. The Chancellor performs political functions and negotiations with other countries whiles the President performs the ceremonial functions (though the President is the highest seat in Germany). It's more like the the Prime Minister of England and the King. If any country want to negotiate anything with Germany, they will contact the Chancellor. There are checks and balances between the Chancellor and the President.
