Top 10 things that excited us about new Board Games

For me, a game has to be playable under 90 minutes, an hour is best. Weight between 2 and three. But, I will avoid certain themes, SCI fi, commercial tie ins. This year I really liked a couple of reissues that I played for the first time, Acquired and Ra. My game group is at most 3. So I usually look for play best at that number. I’m often influenced by comments on BGG, and if a reviewer in a p,any through video actually doesn’t seem to be enjoying the game, that will raise some questions in my mind. I definitely try to do my due diligence. These games ain’t cheap! I liked this video and the relaxed nature. Look forward to more!

I'm a simple man, a see a box of a boardgame, I get excited. But if I had to choose a top 1 reason : I'm excited to think about how exciting it will be to explain the game to other people for our first play :D Getting people to "connect" to the same thing that gets you to play a game, is the best part.

Yeah, even though we did a "turn off" video as well, I hear ya. I simply love board games. We have a board game library at a local store with hundreds and hundreds of games, and for the most part I look around and want to play ALL of them.

There’s some background noise, but otherwise solid picks. I look mostly for asymmetry between players and designers.

Thanks! Yeah, we filmed on hard floors this time which just made more echoes/noises. Wasn't really avoidable in this case but it's a little annoying. Maybe the channel will start doing really well and we'll get some nice mics in the future. Yeah...the dream. Some want big houses and nice cars, I want a killer mic or two, lol.
