They look like really awesome places to visit! Thanks!

Just got back from my first trip to Japan! Thanks for this video Paolo, so helpful! Odaiba was amazing and it was our last night's stay which was amazing. Odaiba is such a fun futuristic city and we ended up walking a lot since things were close together, and also got a 1 day Odaiba pass for the transport to get around to places like Teamlabs. I highly recommend going to that this year before they close! RIP to Oedo Onsen! I was really looking forward to it this trip, been the #1 thing I wanted to do in Japan because it's the coolest way to experience a Japanese festival feeling as well as doing a fun onsen experience and wearing a yukata. However, Odaiba has a cool Edo-inspired market/arcade and food area still inside Decks, which had retro candy, retro games, takoyaki, an old Japanese haunted house, gacha boxes, Japanese structure dioramas like mini ramen stands etc... I really liked that area and bought a lot of candy! Please note some shops only take cash, and others accept cards. I ran out of cash that day so had to skip a few shops sadly lol. Still a super cool area to check out, one of my highlights for sure! Another similar and fun retro feeling festival-like experience I saw was in Asakusa at Sensojii shrine, with festival foods and booths with balloon, tiny balls in water games for kids (still not sure how they work!) and it seems to be part of the atmosphere in general. Since you can take the waterbus from Odaiba to Asakusa it might be fun to hit this place up to if you haven't already. I've heard of Edo Wonderland as another spot in Japan you could walk around in dressed as a ninja, samurai, or other class of citizen.

Oedo Onson doesn't exist anymore? I am going to Japan in less than a month and me and my boyfriend were planning to go to Odaiba especially for the Onson :(
@dianasaurstudio Жыл бұрын
@@Rozenwolk ughhhh I know I was soooo sad! If it's an onsen experience you want, Odaiba (and all of Japan, really) have so many alternative Onsens available pretty much anywhere. But if you're like me and you wanna still have that sort of fun Japanese festival atmosphere, I suggest going to Sensoji shrine in Asakusa at night, which is a free boat ride across from Odaiba. Oh! Plus the DECKS Mall in Odaiba has a lot of those same fun old school carnival games, food, candy stands, masks, and even a haunted house! I also suggest trying out their arcade called Joypolis, but get there early to play all the games cause it shuts down around 7pm. Odaiba was easily a highlight of the trip we just took, despite the Oedo onsen closure. I hope you and the bf have a great time! Japan is amazing and I miss it every day! PS try melon soda! It's my fav :)
