I lived in Japan 3 1/2 years and never visited any of the temples. The things you take for granted. I'm definitely going back.

I spent three months in Japan in 1966. Although much has changed with modernization, historical Japan is magnificent. One of the most sensational discoveries is the cleanliness. I never saw a country so clean and orderly. It just would never cross a Japanese citizen to throw trash in the streets....not even a cigarette butt.
@aisumelef211 Жыл бұрын
My sister said the small streets are so clean. I noted this in my first visit in 2017.

Tokyo is very big, so if travelers want to cover all the famous and cool tourist spots, we recommend the following routes over several days. A little physical strength is required to go all the way around. There are more, but for your reference. Tokyo Sky Tree, Sumida Aquarium→Asakusa, Sensoji Temple, Kuramae→Ueno, Ueno Zoo, National Science Museum, Ameyoko→Akihabara→Ningyocho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo Station, Imperial Palace, Ginza, Kabukiza theater→Tsukiji→Toyosu Market, teamLab, Odaiba, Shimbashi→Tokyo Tower, Zojoji Temple, Azabujuban, Roppongi→Nakameguro, Daikanyama, Ebisu→Shibuya, Shibuya Sky, Shibuya Crossing→Harajuku, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Takeshita Street, Aoyama→Shinjuku, Shinjuku Gyoen, Kabukicho Tower, Golden Gai.

May I know where did you stay? Is most places Accessable with Train?
@真季野口 Жыл бұрын
All the places I mentioned in my comment can be accessed by trains 🚃 such as Tokyo Metro and JR etc. However, Tokyo is a large city and you will often have to walk a lot inside stations, transfer trains, and at each sightseeing spot, so it is important to wear comfortable shoes and allow a enough amount of time for your trip. I live in Tokyo, Kinshi-cho. It is near Tokyo sky tree. I am Japanese.

We loved Tokyo, We visited last September and loved the Shibuya crossing, We watched it from MAGs park tower and only needed to buy a drink to gain entry and were the only people up there! I also personally loved the Tokyo SkyTree views too, I think the tallest I have ever been in a building before.

You can see the city of Tokyo for free at Shinzuko… The top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (Tochōsha) is open to the public free of charge. The building consists of a complex of three structures. The tallest and most prominent of the three is Tokyo Metropolitan Main Building No.1. It is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world at 243 meters.

Yes, for sure! Shibuya Sky (though not free) is another fantastic (outdoor) observation deck. But we think if you visit Tokyo and love panoramic views, you should at least consider visiting Tokyo Skytree or Tokyo Tower, simply because they’re both also unique and iconic structures.
@dcar653015 күн бұрын
@@HungryPassport Shibuya Sky now you need to book for entrance. Another place to see the city and Tokyo Tower is Azabudai Hill JP Tower 33/F, which is not free, but not expensive.

If you come in Tokyo in 2024, you must to visit the new Azabudai Hills (which has buildings with very original architecture, which also has plenty of green spaces with, among other things, lots of fruit trees on the roofs which are accessible and also with the famous teamLab Borderless which will reopen in this complex in January 2024 and also lots of new stores and shopping centers as well as works of art and even a new shrine)
