You will also notice that Alicent is always on the "blind" side of Viserys, such as sitting at the dinner table and when she is comforting him in bed before he dies. It represents that he is blind to her manipulations while he only sees his family as they were positioned on his "good" side during the dinner and when Daemon and Rhaenyra show his his new grandchildren.

In the television adaption, when Aemon is dying he remembers Egg. Aegon the Rhaegar firstborn is the mummers' dragon in Daenerys visions (this last one is unconfirmed though). Aegon the mummers' dragon is not in the television adaptation, only in the books, so it could be that in the book the real name of Jon Snow is not Aegon!

Before this episode I didn't care much of Viserys like I had neutral feelings for him, but he stole the show and my heart this episode, Paddy's performance was outstanding. another thing you guys forgot to mention was how aemond was the only one who didn't eat anything during the supper. meaning, he refuses to break bread as he still holds a grudge from the blacks. specifically, his nephew. also, alicent is a mastermind manipulator as i've noticed only a few noticed this... when comforting the maid, dyanna she is seemingly sympathetic towards her. but when you compare alicent's face to how she hugs dyanna vs helaena, you can see that she shows more sympathy to her daughter and herself as she expressed to aegon that possibly, they may be embroiled from scandal because of his unfaithful and explicit actions. alicent also tells dyanna to not tell anyone else, therefore, manipulating her to be silent.

*Three* *Overlooked* *Scenes* When Daemon discovered Syrax laid 3 eggs. Have you ever seen Daemon so excited and smiling so big before? One of the eggs will hatch and become Morning, Rhaena's dragon. The moment Daemon discovered about the maester conspiracy. He smelled the cup filled with milk of the poppy. Understand that this is only the 3rd time Daemon has returned to King's Landing after *20* years. He returned when he seduced Rhaenyra and then when he invited himself to her wedding. The milk of the poppy is basically like morphine to keep Viserys sedated but he can no longer think straight which puts the Hightowers making decisions on the throne. Viserys had a hard time recognizing Daemon and Rhaenyra on their arrival. Daemon calls out Alicent on this. Then Rhaenyra asked Alicent who will be the one who will give judgement to Lucerys' inheritance? Alicent said that would be her and her father. Viserys showing up was important as this saves Lucerys' claim for Driftmark. Alicent no longer had authority over it. The scene with Mysaria. This is the one I didn't understand at first because I didn't know that was Alicent's servant girl, Talya, who gave the moon tea for Dyana (Aegon's rape victim). When you see someone wear a hoodie, you obviously think of Daemon or maybe Aemond. But it's Talya. I thought this would be the scene to poison Viserys but it wasn't. Viserys sorta died on his own. But this scene is important because it means Mysaria has a spy in the Red Keep. *Book Spoilers* Mysaria plays a role with Blood and Cheese and is a major ally to Rhaenyra during the war. So big, Rhaenyra let's Daemon sleep with Mysaria every night.

its easy to differentiate and the book does this Aegon the Elder=Alicent's son, Aegon the Younger=Rhaenyra's son. Viserys the 1st is dead. Viserys II =Rhaenyra's 5th son. You have to be a history buff and read books to pay attention. How I differentiated the Cargyll twins is Arryk (i pronounced it like a pirate at first "Arrrr Rick) then Erryk like our pronounciation Eric. OR you can do Arryk sounding like Eric and Erryk sounding like Errrr-Rick, like a guy in an awkward situation "errrrrr, Rick? I dont think thats how it works."

Director confirmed it was moon tea. That scene is supposed to make us a little more sympathetic to Alicent. It was meant to show that she truly was horrified at what her son did, and even though she was clearly in charge, she still had no real power.

I can't help but have a theory regarding King Viserys golden mask. If we look to the source material, Aemond was blinded in his right eye, but the show has put it on the left. There is also the line gong down the the mask that mirrors show Aemond's scar rather closely. I'm kinda thinking that the mask was meant to serve as an ornate "eye patch" for Aemond, but they couldn't find a left eye dominant actor that had the qualities the show runners were looking for, so they switched eyes. Thus, they had a leftover prop that was repatriated as a covering for the King's illness. Not only would this make use of an already completed prop, but it would save both time and money for the cgi department by covering Viserys' rotting face. Moreover, this is a tactic that was first seen by Jamie Lannister's "fake golden hand".

I did notice the similarities to King Baldwin. I would also like to point out that Kingdom of Heaven was so far off the mark as to who King Baldwin IV was, and what he believed, it grossly mischaracterized the Knights Templar....to the point of criminal. I suggest if anyone is interested in who the KT were, read :The Knights Templar A New History by Helen Nicholson.
