My husband, who isn’t a reader, happened to come lie down on the couch while I was watching one of your videos the other day. He closed his eyes and said “her voice and accent are so nice”. ❤

I have heard such positive things about The Appeal but avoided it bc I thought it was a courtroom drama because of the title. I think this might be the first place where I have heard the premise in full. And now? I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I agree with you about Dark Places. My favourite Flynn. Super happy to see Sadie on this list, too. And The Family Upstairs. And thanks to your list, I have added a couple new-to-me titles as we clearly have the same taste!

🏆 I read The Lost Man, but I can't recall what the end was. I read it because you had recommended it so highly, a while back. Also it has taken me a few videos to work out that Katie Nana is what the big stuffed animal is. What is the cow beside her from? I really do actually listen and pay attention to your videos I just couldn't make out what those things were in the back without my glasses. Do you really love Katie Nana that much? 🙂💛 She was such a good dog. Lol.

🏆 I'm not a huge thriller reader, but I've been wanting to get into them more so this is a super helpful list!

🏆 The Lost Man is to this day my favourite thriller too. The way she wrote about the outback made it feel like another character and it made me want to travel there to experience it in person. I don't read a lot of thrillers but this list has a few that I will be putting on my TBR list immediately.

Loved the video! My favorite of this list was Stillhouse Lake. I also enjoyed The Good Daughter, The Lost Man, The Family Upstairs, Razrblade Tears and Sadie. I still need to read The Appeal and The First Day of Spring. I loved Gone Girl so I definitely need to add Dark Places to my list! I have to recommend Miracle Creek by Angie Kim, that was such a good one! I still need to read Happiness Falls by her. 🏆

The Lost Man is fantastic. While it’s not in the Aaron Falk series, it does have a link to The Dry. Did you pick that up? Most of my bookclub didn’t but I had the advantage of having only read The Dry a couple of months earlier.

If you love place as character you may enjoy the Frankie elkin series by Lisa gardener they are both amazing but the second one is incredible and I think about it all the time, would be interested to hear your opinions.

🏆I've read and loved both Sadie and The Good Daughter. I'm someone who hates true crime so I'm surprised I loved Sadie as much as I did. The audiobook was phenomenal! I own Razorblade tears but have yet to read it. I read The Dry by Jane Harper and I look forward to reading the rest of her books. So I'll eventually get to The Lost Man. I stopped reading Karin Slaughter. She's a phenomenal writer and I've read four of her books and loved three, but Pretty Girls disturbed my spirit. There are some horrific things that happen to women described in that book that I will never forget. I rated it 5 stars, but if I could go back and unread it I probably would.

I predicted a fair few but it was good to hear the joy in your voice and feel motivated to read some I haven’t got to yet. I also recently read none of this is true and loved it and the following day I read murder in the family by Cara hunter which was also incredible so if you haven’t read that one I’d highly recommend 😊

You got me to read The First Day of Spring a while ago (I then forced it upon everyone else!) It has stayed with me, and I think of it at least once a week. (I’m a mum and teacher and I find it taught me so much about what neglect can do… it made me a more protective person and made me more observant of warning signs.)

There aren't many topics from that I just flat out refuse to read about but as an American anything that involves a school shooting is out. When you spend 4 years being afraid that you're ungated high school is going to be the next target, school shooting books are just traumatizing

I've read The Appeal and The Twyford Code and enjoyed them very much. I've added a few books from your list tonight to my library wish-list - one being The Lost Man which I'm very excited about. I love Australian TV and movies - even true crime stuff which I watch on youtube. Have you heard of these movies - Mystery Road and Goldstone - plus a tv series called Mystery Road - we absolutely loved them for the stories, the people (especially the main character Aaron Pederson) and the scenery - highly recommend them. Do you recommend any other novels by Jane Harper? Loved this video tonight - thank you
