Thank you for telling people to be smart and respect the nature.. too many people are ignorant and entitled. I’m glad you’re putting this out there

To all of you worried about how crowded it is, take the backcountry trails. You'll need a backcountry permit but it's probably going to be more fun than hanging out with the rest of the dweebs. Go alone; you'll get lots of peace and solace there. Also, spray bear spray on yourself to prevent bears from attacking. Make sure to keep your food safe from bears by locking it in your tent when you camp. If a bear sees you, do not run away. Instead, run towards it while beating your chest and making wild, ululating noises. Do not make any rude gestures or talk about it's mama because bears are sensitive animals and will charge if you provoke them. Good luck. Also, try not to get murdered, because your remains will likely be eaten before they are found.

I'll save this one next time we visit Yellowstone. WE just drive through it and hopped off some few spots instead of hiking. I wanted to go on a real hike but boyfriend was always in a rush for our next stop so we didn't really get to see the other spots. It was still beautiful and I will definitely go back there.

#1 don't put the bear spry in a pocket on your backpack. Keep it on your hip or chest where it is quickly accessible.

Good idea! We saw them off the road near mt washburn and on the road to the east entrance. They were also off the trail to inspiration point in the Tetons. Have fun, were on our way to glacier next!

thanks for this informative movie. i'm planning to visit grand teton and yellow stone in august, but i'm in doubt since it is really busy. to visit the park early is no problem, but is it not really crowded when you are hiking during the day in the park?
@MortonsontheMove
@MortonsontheMove 7 жыл бұрын
Depends on where you go hiking. The more difficult trails are not as busy, but most gysers, easier viewpoints, waterfalls etc get very busy. Mornings and evenings are still best.

I don't think the animals care anymore about motorcycles than cars. During the rut elk may be more dangerous but only if you approach them... wont be a problem in august.

Brett Harsanye Agreed. My bear spray travels at 1,000 feet per second and is very shiny and loud. Would hate to do it, but if it's me or the bear, it's gonna be me.

Rosario Diaz the wolves are the least of your concern just don't try to take a selfie with a buffalo or bear and you'll be just fine. That's the biggest reasons why people get hurt. Other than some wanting to dive into the thermal waters.

how far is travel/distance to find cabins or motels outside the park?
@MortonsontheMove
@MortonsontheMove 7 жыл бұрын
Depends on what entrance. West yellowstone has lots of lodging just outside the entrance... same up north.. east side they are a long way out. Being close to the entrance could still be an hour drive from the attractions tho.. Best to look at some maps and plan what you want to see and do.

I tried for 2 months to get a camping spot at Yellowstone. It never happened, and the park vendor was rude about it. That killed my interest in visiting that particular park again. There are too many other awesome national parks to visit to give money to people that are rude.

@baltsosser
@baltsosser 6 жыл бұрын
Not on a high horse, just really disappointed that something like a massive national park can't figure out how to accommodate anyone that travels in a random path. Not all travelers have a schedule of events planned down to the minute for a year out. Other parks were able to accommodate a single motorcycle traveler using a tent, but here it was a major problem.
