In this video we are completing the Mae Hong Son Loop riding from Pai to Chiang Mai. We rode the trip in a clock-wise direction from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, Pai and back to Chiang Mai Thailand. In my opinion this is the best way to do it, saving the town of Pai for last since it's the best and the road from Pai Thailand to Chiang Mai Thailand, which is also the best part. I am also sharing my top 10 tips for riding the Mae Hong Son, to help you stay out of trouble. If you love motorbike adventures, the Mae Hong Son Loop is one of the best in the world. Thanks for taking us along. Yes, you are right to do the loop clockwise, saving the best parts for last. Have a condo in CM & before covid we would spend Oct- April there. Your videos bring back great memories of some of our rides. Hope to get back this fall. Stunning views & colors. Even though a lot of spots were closed, looks like you had the roads & hotels to yourselves. Heaven !!!. Looking forward to more videos, as we are stuck in the San Francisco Bay Area until we can escape back to Thailand.

This has been on my bucket list for a long time and have just sat through all of the episodes. The title brought me here and your channel is a new discovery for me. I hope it grows quickly. Did you get the crash helmets with the bike when you rented it or are they your own? I have heard that helmets are very cheap over there and have also heard that the ones supplied with the bikes are pretty crappy, what would you recommend? Buy your own?

The Mae Hong Son loop is a definite must do for any motorbike enthusiast, 100% recommended. As far as the helmet, for anything more than a 1 day rental, i would definitely recommend to buy one. You can get a new one for about $20-40 at any super market like Big C or local helmet store. We are just starting our motorbike trip to the south of Thailand, so keep and eye out for that. We managed to set fire to one of our panniers on day 1. 😳😳

It depends where you rent your bike from, C&P Big Bike is the best shop in Chiang Mai, and supply you with quality helmets. You must keep in mind though, the structural integrity of helmet can be compromised from just being dropped, you'll never know the history of a helmet, its always best to just buy a new one.

Hey, thanks for the video. How often did the police stope you during your trip? I do not have an international driving permit (just local from my country). However, I still considering to make a Mae Hong Son Loop

Just once from Pai to Chiang Mai. They asked me where i’m going and didn't ask for my driver's license. They became more annoying now that tourism is back.

Great idea, but those are bit hard to find in Chiang Mai. Also very expensive to rent.

Great video... I must say though, if you have limited motorcycle experience, you'd be foolish to ride the loop or even go to Pai... Just saying 😌
