ABOUT ME:
I am a self taught PC & Modding enthusiast who enjoys creativity and learning new techniques to create a one of a kind Case Designs. All of our work is produced in our back yard using mostly hand tools.
At the age of 18 is when i made my first custom PC and our passion and drive continued from there now having countless builds under our belt and plenty more to come. We are one of Australia's largest Case Modders and have been recognized world wide by big tech media companies such as Linus Media Group and TweakTown.
With our continued growth we have been fortunate enough to have a wide audience which enjoy our case modding tutorials and water cooling guides which we can provide on the KZbin platform. Our aim is to Create, Inspire and help people achieve their dream PC.

Wow, mixing metals is bad!?! Tell that to the car industry who has been mixing metals for over 100 years with no problems. As long as you have distilled water and a good corrosion inhibitor (Audi vw coolant) you'll be fine. I've been mixing metals in loops for almost 20 years... this is an amazing video though. Keep up the good work!

Hello, thank you so much for this video! I'm planning to set up my first custom loop using 16mm carbon fiber tubes. The tubes are actually 4 one hundredths of a mm smaller than 16mm will that be a problem?
@DesignsByIFR
@DesignsByIFR 6 жыл бұрын
Hey man no problem. Try the fitting and oring. If you cannot pull the tube out without a bit of force then it is fine. You can also get air pumps which test for possible leak spots by putting air pressure throughout the loop

What about adding hylomar universal blue as a sealer to orings? And using antifreeze as a coolant?
@paskowitz
@paskowitz 6 жыл бұрын
100% all of this. One topic I would add is component choice. Buying the wrong fans (not SP optimized) and air flow restrictive cases (small vents and low fan to panel clearance) are really common and have a massive impact on the cooling and acoustic performance of your rig. In addition, don't spend $500 on custom water cooling parts and then use the worst performing thermal paste. Spend the extra $10 and get something like thermal grizzly. In addition, considering the technical complexity required to make a loop, deliding your CPU should be something you strongly consider. TLDR don't skimp out on things that affect thermals and acoustics.

When it comes to leak testing I spend 24 hours atleast. It's also a great way to bleed the system of air bubbles. Saw bitit doing that too.. Felt bad for him. Split an acrylic 3way....due to overtightning.... Cost me a d5 pump... And a psu 🙄

My question would be, can we overtight fittings on the blocks if we finger-tight them? I mean, in my case i added some rotary on them and pretty sure doing that will tight the fittings even more? Doing everything by hand though
@DesignsByIFR
@DesignsByIFR 6 жыл бұрын
hey man, yes do not force them tight, especially on acrylic blocks because that can create stress cracks
@colinjava8447
@colinjava8447 4 жыл бұрын
Just finger tighten till it's firm. Gotta be careful with EK stop plugs that use Allen ken/hex wrench, you could easily over tighten cause you have leverage when using a tool

Nice tips, but please get some sound dampening up in that studio of yours. Looking forward to more good content. Edit: Speaking of Kyle form Bitwit... his mistake was in his 1st open loop build, so I think it's a little unfair to use that as an example just because he is a well known "TechTuber". Most of us have done it I think ;-)

Distilled water is not going through "boiling". It's just pure H2O, which you can do so by a simple filtering: 5 micron filter for big particulars together wit carbon filter will allow special filtering membrane to filter remaining parts, so TDS will be 5-20, to make it absolutely pure just use Ro/DI sediment and it's done. Boiling water is a different beast.
@NincardeVideos
@NincardeVideos 5 жыл бұрын
You're describing filtration. Do you understand how distillation works? Water is heated to it's evaporation temperature/boiling point, then the water vapor/gas it condensed into a lqiuid with less impurities.
@seregus6724
@seregus6724 5 жыл бұрын
@@NincardeVideos I do know method you are describing, but it seems you don't know real way how most people do make water now a days. You can google RO DI Filter for Reef tank (yes I have one and I do filter water to zero TDS to add salt and my fish and corals are alive for 6 years same as many other people in the world) or google watermaker for boat (yes I do have one and I do drink this water - it actually after making distilled water add minerals so water become potable). Hope this provides you more information on the topic you have in your mind. Good luck.
