I wish I knew you a few months earlier and that you made this video then because it is exactly what I wished i had find when I started to be interested in watercooling. I think it's extremly helpful for the newies in this scene because it really answers ALL the quiestions I had when I was new here myself!

Great video Cory, maybe you could set up a basic loop to demonstrate some of the answers to the beginners step by step. I was wondering if you could demonstrate to your viewers how to do a leak test by filling the loop with compressed air. That way the beginners are starting off without the possibility of finding a leak by spraying coolant all over their brand new hardware. I've made a simple test rig with a handful of fittings a cheap low pressure gauge and a push bike tyre pump. Great work mate love watching the custom mods you come up with.

No worries Cory. I made a video about my leak test unit. It's fairly simple to use. Ignore the video quality I'm still learning how to make videos.

How to water cool a gpu without voiding warranty or guarantee? And can we remove that warranty sticker without damaging it?
@DesignsByIFR7 жыл бұрын
+shreeyansh s. lal if you are careful. Perhaps buy a card with waterblock pre installed. Evga seem pretty good with warranty even if it has been water cooled

one simple question, what do I need for hardtubing? bending, cutting... tool wise? :D
@dandel3517 жыл бұрын
First you need to work out what tube material your going to use, (PETG or Acrylic tube). I would choose PETG for my first try. You need a heat gun to soften the tube to bend. A silicone mandrel to fit inside the tube while bending. To cut the tube I use pipe cutters (hardware store will have these in the plumbing section). You can use rulers and measuring tapes for measuring where your bends go but I tend to eyeball measure mine. I use a non permanent marker to mark where my bends are going. I would look at as many video tutorials as you can before you start. All ways buy a heap more tube than you think you need to account for learning to bend tube. The only way to really learn to bend tubes is to try it your self. For your first try I would keep the bends and loop layout as easy as you can. As your confidence grows you can try more advanced ideas. And remember NEVER let your pump run dry. I leak test my loops with air pressure. If you leak test with liquid , make sure you check all your fittings and ports are tight before filling the loop and make sure that only your pump is powered on. Good luck mate.
