I'm a yank who has just got into Slade and they are fantastic!! We had the lame covers of "Cum On Feel The Noise" and "Mama Weer All Crazy Now" by Quiet Riot, but the originals are awesome! And "Everyday" is a beautiful ballad! Baby, Baby, Baby, indeed!

That Slade Christmas song always make me wanna party. The Band Aid song, as much as I've always loved it, it's connected with a sad experience to me. I first heard the song when a highschool classmate put on the record at a Christmas party at the manor house of one classmate. We stayed the night and the next morning some of us stayed for breakfast until midday, chatting in the kitchen, amongst others one of the girls from my class. She was fine and joyful like the rest of us. Later that afternoon another classmate called me at home to tell, that the girl from earlier that day had been sent to hospital with _Meningitis._ And the next morning another phone call - she was dead. I love the song, and whenever I sing it it's in the memory of my highschool classmate.

Just to point out, live performances on TOTP pre 1990s were rare. Artists usually just lip synced to their tracks. I think there was one time when Band Aid were on and not all the artists could be there so they got another artist in to lip sync to the original artists voice.
